This iPhone 17 Pro Max Camera is OVERRATED! | Ep 96
The boys are back again, and this week are joined by Matt from Matt Talks Tech (750k+ subscribers). Chat kicks off with iPhone 17 Pro camera issues, with Alex, Daniel & Matt all experiencing an issue with the new 4x telephoto camera on the 17 Pro.   One UI 8.5 has leaked out, and Daniel talks to us about how the build has leaked and also what changes Samsung are making (including some very iOS-like customisation features for the Quick Panel).   David brings up content creation rigs using a smartphone, and at one point, should you just buy a camera instead of using a phone? The boys discuss the advantages and disadvantages of phone setups.   Chat then moves to YouTube and how Linus has been experiencing some view discrepancies.   Matt tells us how he uploads every day, Alex goes on a rant about a certain camera comparison, and David has issues with Apple Support. Samsung Fanboy switches to iPhone 17 Pro Max! What's the verdict? | Ep 95
This is the week you've been waiting for. A lifelong Samsung fanboy has switched to iPhone and is ready to talk about it.   This week, the boys begin the chat with the obvious, Daniel's switch to iPhone. David has been watching his content and is picking his brain about what it's been like for him. Daniel, to be fair, has been fair to the iPhone (after the initial pain of switching) and highlights where he thinks the fundamental difference lies between Samsung & Apple.   Alex (initially joining from his car) offers insights into the iPhone’s camera setup up and David has been using the iPhone Air out and about to put the battery life through its paces.   iPhone & Apple chat continues, and both David & Alex ask Daniel for insights into life as an iPhone user for the first time ever. Daniel offers plenty of thoughts and detailed research into what using iOS has been like.   With that lengthy chat done, the boys turned their attention to YouTube and discussed A/B testing, AdSense, and tools, before sharing a final thought on iPhones...and Daniel reveals whether he is keeping the Pro Max or returning it...   All that and more on this week’s Minus Sixteen!   Get in touch: david@talkingtechandaudio.com Check out the new website: https://talkingtechandaudio.com     #iphoneair #apple #samsung #iphone16e #iphone #iphone #youtube #contentcreator   Chapters 00:00 Intro 00:10 Breaking news! 01:45 Daniel’s honest first take on One UI vs. iOS 03:10 The fundamental differences 10:10 iOS overall improvements  15:15 Who is going to buy a thin phone? 16:47 Data transfer ports and speeds 18:12 The iPhone’s messy hardware design 19:26 The cameras on the iPhone vs. Samsung 23:05 Are Samsung catching Apple up with their video quality? 28:48 Android is not as well supported by apps 33.33 File management  37:31 The front-facing selfie camera 42:09 The Plateau 45:25 Xiaomi 17 53:03 The biggest iOS update since iOS 13 55:06 Apple Watch updates 56:21 A/B Title Testing 62:00 Placement of ads in YouTube Studio 66:00 The vidIQ channel stats 71:00 Where is best to place your call to action  76:00 Hype points

iPhone 17: Apple FINALLY Caught Up! But...| Ep 94
The boys are on fire this week with a lot to talk about.   Joined by fellow Australian Samuel Nam, they start to dissect the Apple launch event and each give their honest (and ranty) impressions about the new range. For the first time, Daniel talks about his intention to buy one and the reason why, whilst Samuel brings his insights into dailying an iPhone Air.   We chat briefly about YouTube, discussing the state of securing sponsors and working with brands, but the chat is swiftly brought back to Apple, and for good reason, as there is a lot to discuss.   David is adamant that Apple is back on track this year and is impressed by what he sees for a vision for the future, whilst Alex orders one of everything from the Apple menu.   Get out of the description and get watching - the boys rip in this week with passion, humour, and a fair bit of ranting.   S25 FE & Pixel 10 Pro chat, Google keeps Chrome and plenty more on this week's episode of Minus Sixteen!       Get in touch: david@talkingtechandaudio.com Check out the new website: https://talkingtechandaudio.com     #wwdc #apple #samsung #iphone16e #iphone #iphone #youtube #contentcreator   Chapters 00:00 Intro 01:38 Apple’s Awe Dropping event 02:48 Daniel turning to the dark side again! 04:20 Apple’s new website 05:04 The iPhone Air Battery Pack  06:21 The iPhone Air 05:50 The iPhone Air and the battery pack mystery 06:41 The single camera on the iPhone Air - is it an issue 10:41 What iPhone will Sam be buying? 12:11 Are the specs right or wrong on the iPhone Air? 14:10 Is the real winner the iPhone 17? 15:35 The Apple silicon inside the iPhone Air & battery density 20:04 The new square sensor in the iPhone 22:05 Opengate on iPhone 23:20 Dual Capture recording 24:09 Will the iPhone Air bend and bendgate 24:35 Samsung and its anti-reflective coating 27:18 Will the iPhone be a one-and-done 27:54 The Samsung FE 30:28 Samsung’s 2026 lineup 31:00 Samsung A56 and their confusing STab lineup 34:03 Balancing sponsored videos & core content 36:40 Daniel’s sponsor backlog 39:39 The joy of recording videos without sponsors 43:10 Getting paid 47:27 Being low-balled by sponsors 52:08 Google wins 53:20 Do you still use Google & video generation tools 57:16 Apple’s Live Translation and their plans for AirPods 60:00 Why the tech world needs Apple 61:00 Is Apple guilty of doing just enough 65:00 eSIMs & the Camera Plateau 69:00 Sam and why he chose the iPhone to shoot his movie with 71:00 ProRes RAW 75:00 Apple’s clever marketing of the iPhone 17 78:00 8x optical zoom on the iPhone 17 Pro Max 79:00 No 8K video on the iPhone 17 Pros 83:00 How much Apple are getting out of us all today 85:00 Lifeliong Samsung boy swaps to iPhone! 87:27 What if Daniel actually likes an iPhone 89:45 The Pixel 10 Pro

Google Pixel 10 Pro - Set To Fail | Ep 93
Description: The boys are back after a month-long break. They are rejoined by Sam Beckman, creator with over 500k subs and an Android juggernaut. The discussion kicks off with Pixel 10 chat, and before any hardware discussions take place, they discuss the event and whether or not the direction Google took was right. The discussion around the Pixel turned to why Google is limiting their hardware, and there was chat around whether or not it was a strategy move from Google to ensure it doesn't overtake Samsung and other competitors in the Android Space.    Alex & David went to the Honor Magic V5 event this week and gave their impressions on the hardware and software. It started a broader discussion over foldables and whether Google did enough with the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.   It's coming into Apple season, so the boys discussed the Apple event and looked at what Apple could launch and the rumoured changes to the iPhone 17 series.   The podcast then pivoted to YouTube chat. There have been some new scams going around creators’ inboxes at the moment, so the boys all shared stories and caution to any creators out there.   YouTube has introduced a new Hype feature, where viewers can assign Hype points to creators, and it is supposed to help boost viewership and let other viewers know they should watch it. The boys discuss the impact that could have on their channels and what the actual purpose of something like this is for.   We finished off by picking Sam Beckman’s brain in relation to his content strategy on platforms outside of YouTube, and he shared his wisdom on how he has grown both TikTok & Instagram.   It was a big one this week, all of that + much more on this week's Minus Sixteen!   Link to Reddit chat https://www.reddit.com/r/sony/comments/1m4sqlf/is_this_real/   Get in touch: david@talkingtechandaudio.com Check out the new website: https://talkingtechandaudio.com     #wwdc #apple #samsung #iphone16e #iphone #iphone #youtube #contentcreator   Chapters 00:00 Intro 02:05 Sam’s take on the Pixel Pro 10 09:20 Understanding Google’s deal with Samsung 18:56 Did Honor lie about the V5? 22:41 Were Google lazy with the Pixel 10? 25:20 Do we still need yearly upgrades? 26:40 Honors year-on-year improvements 27:57 Apple and Awe Dropping 30:25 Why have Apple changed their camera layout? 31:41 What reception will the iPhone Air receive? 33:00 iOS 26 improvements 36:10 The Apple rumour stories 37:57 Have events run their course? 40:31 Apple - the movie company 42:04 What is Apple’s play for AirPods  44:54 The move away from Titanium of the iPhone 17 Pro’s 46:20 Scams on YouTube 49:57 Sam’s close call with a Sony scam 56:57 David’s close brush with a scam 59:01 Hype on YouTube 64:00 Not prematurely dating your videos 66:00 Samsung’s $27,000 TV 67:00 Samsung and the Smart Home 69:00 The hot take on silicon carbon batteries 71:00 The skill of battery testing 73:00 Being active on various platforms 78:00 The art of making good Instagram Reels 81:00 Sam outsourcing editing

Should iPhone users SWITCH to the Galaxy Z Fold 7? Ep 92
The boys are on fire this week. Discussion begins with iPhone 17 rumours and whether Apple are playing it too safe with their lineup of phones for 2025. This leads onto a conversation about how Apple have a hold over consumers and don't really have to push smartphone technology far anymore due to the fact that people just blindly buy them anyway.   But with Samsung's new foldable lineup out, the boys chat about how this is the first time a foldable can be recommended to the general consumer and beyond the tech bubble. The sleeker design, more natural cover screen ratio and improved main camera all lend themselves to being the perfect phone for Apple users to switch to.   Alex got a new M4 MacBook Air and spoke of how the M4 chip really surprised him in the lightweight package, and the boys generally discuss how Apple's computers over some of the best value for money to performance ratio of any laptops out there.   Leak culture was up next, and the boys weigh in on Apple vs Jon Prosser and how leak culture has influenced content creation in general. David takes a dig at how no one actually cares about Samsung to leak, Daniel loves his MacBook Pro, and Alex tells Samsung how to fix the Fold 8.   All that and more on this week’s Minus Sixteen!   Get in touch: david@talkingtechandaudio.com Check out the new website: https://talkingtechandaudio.com     #wwdc #apple #samsung #iphone16e #iphone #iphone #youtube #contentcreator   Chapters 00:00 Intro 02:50 iPhone 17 leaks & rumours 09:42 The Apple ecosystem - does it work? 12:51 Apple’s services - the hidden winner 14:25 Will the Fold 7 be enough to convince iPhone users to switch? 17:35 Apple Care 1 18:33 Alex and his S24 battery issues 22:30 How much better can Apple make a foldable phone? 23:51 The floors on the Fold 7 29:00 Are we ready to spend £2000 on a phone? 31:50 The M4 MacBook Air 35:45 Apple and its 256GB storage issue 36:40 Daniel & his MacBook Pro story 43:03 Working and editing from an external SSD 45:05 Apple’s Q3 results 48:30 The Jon Prosser leak story - our thoughts 53:10 Did Jon Prosser offer money in exchange for leaks? 55:11 Thoughts on large companies suing individuals/ 56:20 In Apple’s defence… 58:35 Daniel’s experience of NDA’s 63:00 Samsung is closing some loopholes  64:00 Dyson secrets 65:00 The iPhone 17 is out in the wild

Galaxy Z Fold 7 & S Pen - What Happened?! Ep 91
The boys are back to talk all things Samsung. Two weeks post Galaxy Unpacked, the boys have a lot to...well..unpack as each of them got to experience what Samsung had to announce in their own special ways.   Alex & Daniel give their first-hand account of using the Galaxy Z Fold 7 for the past 2 weeks, whilst David discusses his first time at a Samsung event and getting to see how Samsung have innovated in the Foldable space.   It pondered a larger question around whether Apple are bringing that excitement anymore into the tech space and whether they can consider themselves at the forefront of innovation anymore.   David rants about Apple while Daniel defends them (what world are we in?), and we get some insights into the broader tech world and how Apple infiltrates every space consumers live in.   Alex gives a warning about security as he fends off an attack on his YouTube channel. YouTube are FINALLY bringing A/B title testing, and views are inconsistent for the summer as people are enjoying the sun (even in Australian winters) instead of consuming content.   All that and more on this week's Minus Sixteen!   Get in touch: david@talkingtechandaudio.com Check out the new website: https://talkingtechandaudio.com     #wwdc #apple #samsung #iphone16e #iphone #iphone #youtube #contentcreator   Chapters 00:00 Intro 00:53 Samsung Unpacked 06:09 Daniel’s trip to Korea 07:55 The S Pen drama 09:32 The Fold 7 highlights  14:27 David’s take on being at Samsung Unpacked 16:48 Battery life on the Fold 7 & Edge 20:45 Daily drivers  22:55 The real-life reasons for using a Flip phone 26:20 The Fold 7 rants! 28:05 Fold 7 missing the zoom camera 30:37 The price of the Fold 7 - is it an issue? 34:15 David’s Apple rant 39:51 Apple’s clever marketing technique 43:47 Pop culture coming to Apple’s rescue 50:21 No anti-reflective coating on the Fold! 51:00 Alex nearly got hacked! Is it over for Samsung? Ep. 90
The boys are back together this week to discuss all things Galaxy Unpacked. Alex & Daniel share what they are excited for and what we can expect to see. Conversation then turns to the latest foldable form Honor (the Honor Magic V5), and their launch event that Alex attended, and how it feels. David then went into early predictions for the iPhone September event and how Apple's lineup could change this year with the introduction of the iPhone 17 Air, which then brought about discussions of the S25 Edge and how the Air from Apple could stimulate the wider thin phone market.   The product chat was extensive this week, but we still had time for YouTube, and there was a bit to catch up on with the Mr Beast AI Thumbnail Saga, which then prompted a wider discussion over AI in the Creator space and how it could impact what we do in the future.   Daniel gives an update on his MacBook Pro, and David gives him stick for it and plenty more on this week’s Minus Sixteen!   Get in touch: david@talkingtechandaudio.com Check out the new website: https://talkingtechandaudio.com   Chapters 00:00 Intro 00:53 Samsung Unpacked 2025 - what to expect 02:28 Alex & Daniel talk  foldable wishes  04:45 Flips vs. Folds in sales  06:26 How true are the Samsung renders near an event? 07:57 The leaks & rumours… 09:25 Folds in everyday life 13:30 What wearables will be at Unpacked 15:26 What really happens at these hands-on events? 20:27 Embargo videos - are they worth it? 22:25 Honor Magic V5 (£1255) 26:13 The problems of shipping batteries 28:29 The new Nothing Headphone 1 - our thoughts 31:58 Latest rumours for the Apple September event 36:27 The iPhone 17 lineup 38:34 The thin phone trend 41:45 The improvements to iPadOS 26 44:42 Mr Beast drops a ball with his AI thumbnail app 52:34 Adobe’s march on AI 56:00 AI-generated content 59:00 A busy week ahead

Samsung S25 Edge, CarPlay Ultra, and WWDC - what you need to know! Ep. 87
The Samsung S25 Edge, CarPlay Ultra and WWDC were all up for discussion on this episode…   Will there be a shift in smartphone design, as the era of thin phones comes back, and will they challenge the foldables? We’ve asked for change, and now we are finally seeing it, but what’s the Samsung Edge been like to live with? Daniel tells us firsthand.   Apple finally unveiled CarPlay Ultra, so David takes a deep look into that and gives us his thoughts on why car makers have been so reluctant to adopt to using it. And what’s coming at WWDC…we’ll cover that properly next time, but we have some early thoughts and predictions.   While Alex was on holiday, it gave him time to reflect on the phones he uses every day and what features make him decide what phone to reach for.   And what is happening with YouTube and views? They seem all over the place - has something changed, and what makes a video pop and take off?   We also discuss the balance between work and enjoyment while travelling, the significance of pushing creative boundaries, and the joy of connecting with viewers through our content.    Get in touch: david@talkingtechandaudio.com Check out the new website: https://talkingtechandaudio.com     #apple #samsung #samsunggalaxy #iphone16e #iphonese #iphone#iphone #youtube #contentcreator   Chapters 00:00 YouTube challenges and content planning 00:10 Current tech trends and future predictions 01:55 The Samsung S25 Edge 06:56 The shift in smartphone design and consumer expectations 09:54 The future of thin phones vs. foldables 12:33 Real-world usage: balancing work and leisure 22:01 Navigating the mid-range smartphone market 26:50 Focus on usability in tech 27:52 Navigating the smartphone landscape 30:07 The arrival of CarPlay Ultra 33:39 Anticipating WWDC and iOS redesigns 37:23 YouTube trends and creator challenges 45:24 Experimenting with content strategies 51:31 The power of reflection in content creation 54:15 Learning from analytics and viewer engagement 57:08 Creating content while travelling: balancing work and enjoyment 01:00:06 Pushing creative boundaries: shooting outside the comfort zone 01:05:07 The joy of sharing and connecting through content

Why Samsung’s One UI 7 missed the mark - lessons MUST be learned! Ep. 85
Alex is sunning himself in Brazil, so it’s just David and Daniel who start by delving into the world of tech, focusing on the performance issues of One UI 7 and where it all went wrong for Samsung over the past few months. Have the latest updates helped? Daniel explains…   We chatted about the latest rumours about iPadOS and iOS, what new features they may bring, and how they might look. The discussion then shifts to YouTube, reflecting on its growth as a content platform and how we started to watch content and what made us think we might want to try it ourselves.   We shared anecdotes about our early experiences with YouTube and how it influenced our content creation journeys, especially during COVID. Also, who are the creators we look up to? Who inspires us, and what is this current theme of 'dunking' on other channels all about?   Authenticity was touched on, and we talked in detail about how important we find that in the content we both make and watch. There are some rumoured new changes coming to how YouTube may display videos on your homepage feed that could have major implications - we talk over whether we think they are good for creators or not.   Then we chatted about cameras as David has just bought a new lens for his Canon, and what lenses Daniel may be looking to upgrade to next. Finally, we spoke about the importance of having a dedicated studio space and the freedom and creativity that brings...     Get in touch: david@talkingtechandaudio.com Check out the new website: https://talkingtechandaudio.com Watch the Trent from Punchy video: https://www.youtube.com/c/themactime?sub_confirmation=1   #apple #samsung #samsunggalaxy #iphone16e #iphonese #iphone#iphone #youtube #contentcreator   Chapters 00:00 Rainy days in Queensland 02:27 The new website 05:59 Tech Updates: One UI 7 and performance Issues 09:03 YouTube's evolution  12:03 Samsung vs. Apple: audio fix issues  15:01 The aesthetics of technology 24:18 The Future of Apple OS - what we can expect 35:11 YouTube as a family viewing platform 44:50 The COVID effect - how YouTube benefited 48:03 The Vlog revolution & lifestyle channels 50:58 The importance of authenticity in content creation 54:06 The creative process and getting inspiration from other creators 58:05 The impact of AI on content creation 01:01:06 A dedicated creative space - the benefits 01:04:56 Investing in quality equipment for better content 01:07:59 Community engagement

The £3000 iPhone could be coming - what effects will tariffs have on our tech? Ep. 84
In this episode of Minus Sixteen, we discuss various topics, including the challenges of technical setups, the release of One UI 7, smartphone durability issues, the pressures of content creation, the impact of tariffs on smartphone pricing, and the evolution of smartphone camera technology.   We chat about how these factors influence our work as tech creators and jump into the nuances of video production, focusing on the importance of selecting the right camera gear, particularly lenses, and the impact of audio and lighting on video quality. We discuss the significance that scripting and presentation techniques have on making effective content.   We also touch on the implications that tariffs will have on tech products and how companies might adjust pricing strategies in response to these economic factors. We talk about our strategies for engaging audiences and the importance of adapting to trends in technology and social media in general.   And then we looked at how Apple navigate government demands for data access while maintaining user privacy. Apple can’t hide - but has the AI bubble ALREADY burst? Ep. 83
Definitely one of our best - this is what podcasting should be about!   We started off by thinking that there may not be much to chat over - but how wrong we were! We got the ball rolling by chatting over the expansive choices there are now available in the Android market and the giant strides they’re making in catching up the brand leaders.   That gave way to what was supposed to be a chat about WWDC which was announced this week, however, that rapidly gave way to a pretty heated chat about about AI and what we all think it’s future will be. It’s clear Apple is a little lost right now, and it seems our overarching view was that Apple needs to find back their passion.   After we all calmed down a little, we then spoke about our various studio spaces and Daniel’s move that will mean soon he will have his first dedicated studio space - exciting times ahead, for sure!   Honestly, this episode is one we know you’ll enjoy!   Get in touch: david@talkingtechandaudio.com   #apple #samsung #samsunggalaxy #iphone16e #iphonese #iphone#iphone #youtube #contentcreator   00:00 Intro 01:39 Let’s talk about Android 03:35 What phones are popular in Australia 05:39 How much does Android UI vary from phone to phone? 09:23 Daniel’s long-term thoughts on the Samsung S25 Ultra 11:43 Missing the S Pen 12:19 Alex and his current daily 15:50 Alex and his dodgy iPhone 16 Pro 17:05 Everything works…it just works! 18:45 David the iPhone 16e and leading the simple life 21:21 The iPhone 13 mini - still a gem! 23:35 Daniel and his two phones - and the poll! 24:28 WWDC 2025 - our thoughts 25:27 AI - is it all it’s cracked up to be? 33:15 Apple can’t hide 39:24 The tech world waiting for the next big thing… 42:41 Apple missing passion 43:00 Samsung’s far from blameless 44:40 Studio chat 47:47 Daniel and his studio plans 50:45 Alex nearly gave up! 52:25 Mental wellness and not getting defeated 54:54 The difference between working with sponsors 56:15 Making the most of your studio space 58:55 Daniel’s new camera 59:50 Always learning 60:00 The Mac mini is still on Daniel’s mind

Apple's scam and the bots are watching! Ep. 81
The DAD's are back, all three of them are together, even after a dicey cyclone in Australia that threatened to keep Daniel away, it cleared just in time for the boys to record.   Alex kicks off the chats this week with a close look and discussion at the Oppo Find N5, which then brought about a broader discussion about the state of the foldable market and whether Apple will ever dip their toes in the water with one of their own.   David then brings up the state of Apple marketing and how they don't seem to have any cohesion, especially in the light of the Apple Intelligence delay and how they promoted that VERY heavily during the iPhone 16 launch.   Chat then turns to YouTube and how changes with ad placement have caused a stir in the creator community recently. Daniel found a tweet that breaks it down and the boys discuss what it might mean.   YouTube also seemed to test a new shorts feed that had the boys confused.   Bots are watching videos, brands are paying for them and Newcastle will beat Liverpool on Sunday at Wembley, all that and more on this week’s Minus Sixteen!   Get in touch: david@talkingtechandaudio.com   #apple #samsung #samsunggalaxy #iphone16e #iphonese #iphone #youtube #oppofindn5   00:00 Intro 01:52 Oppo Find N5 thoughts & first impressions 05:45 The Oppo launch that never happened 08:02 The reasons for the limits on battery sizes 09:55 The beauty of foldables 11:53 The history & future of foldables 16:00 Apple and their marketing mess 29:05 The C1 modem 31:43 Taking our time to make genuine reviews 34:40 Changing tastes 37:05 Clearing up the story about YouTube midroll ads 40:00 Is YouTube becoming the next TikTok? 44:15 Bot views 48:10 David’s walk on the dark side 53:33 Do other halves know what we do? 54:36 Daniel & the cyclone story

iPhone 16e - an Apple parts bin or is it for real and the future of Tech YouTube Ep. 80
This week, the boys were joined by YouTuber Andrew Clare. Andrew is an Apple-focused YouTube channel from the states, and he joins us to talk about his experience, but also the latest iPhone 16e.   The chat starts with the aforementioned iPhone 16e and David does our first live pod unboxing. The product’s value is brought into question as well as the positive coverage of the phone as opposed to a real critique.   The chat then moves onto Galaxy S25 and Andrew shares his experience as a lifelong Apple user and how Samsung has changed since his last experience with the Galaxy S23 Ultra.   YouTube chat begins with talk about a recent video by a YouTube employee on their personal channel critiquing the current state of tech reviews.   Alex rallies the group to, instead of criticising the space, offering advice from the boy’s experiences that can help someone looking for inspiration.   Alex has an SD card nightmare, MKBHD's reviews are questioned and much more on this week's Minus Sixteen!   Get in touch: david@talkingtechandaudio.com   #apple #samsung #samsunggalaxy #iphone16e #iphonese #iphone   00:00 Intro 01:43 Unboxing the iPhone 16e 04:19 The C1 modem - the real key part to the 16e 06:25 Who is the 16e for? 09:06 The iPhone 16e price point 13:13 The name - what does it mean? 15:05 The foldables market - does it interest Apple? 19:19 The Beats PowerBeats AirPods 20:32 Andrew and his phone choice 24:42 The WhatsApp conundrum 27:26 Why did FaceTime never catch on? 28:10 A quick Ted Lasso & Apple TV interlude 31:00 What’s new from Samsung? 40:00 Our thoughts and advice for if you’re starting a channel 52:39 Have the larger channels lost their passion? 58:23 The tech creator space 64:00 YouTube’s new approach to ad placement 68:00 YouTube Premium 71:00 The SD card story

If only the Samsung S25 Ultra were an iPhone! Ep. 79
The boys are back together on their own this week. The conversation flowed seamlessly between product, business and upcoming events.   Starting with Galaxy S25 chat, Alex gave his view on the S25+ and the value it offers, and the boys discussed base model devices and how they are an excellent value choice for those who just want a dependable smartphone without the bells and whistles.   David was keen to discuss Daniel's video about the S25 Ultra and what would be the reaction if it were made by Apple instead. It's an interesting conversation because the narrative around the S25 Ultra hasn't been positive, especially by some of the bigger creators like MKBHD and publications like The Verge.   Business chat quickly took over, Alex talked about dealing with a sponsorship manager, and being organised and planned with content, David has updated his workflow to include a project management system to get on top of his sponsorship commitments, and Daniel spoke about how he intends to stay as a solo creator for now.   All that and more on this week’s Minus Sixteen!   Get in touch: david@talkingtechandaudio.com   #apple #samsung #samsunggalaxy #samsungmobile #iphone17 #samsungspen   David's latest video: https://youtu.be/mi_oJwSqsIw Alex's latest video: https://youtu.be/dnyWLMi0c2w?si=Vmohcyh33MY5Rwgu Daniel's latest video: https://youtu.be/Ee63sUtzSOI?si=dN7o-FI2--mDSE8H Kyle's latest video: https://youtu.be/Ee63sUtzSOI?si=dN7o-FI2--mDSE8H   00:00 Intro 02:45 Thoughts on  Samsung S25 Plus 08:16 Modem talk 09:05 Alex and his iPhone issues 13:10 If this were Apple…  18:22 The Verge and their Apple vs. Samsung views 22:36 If the S25 were and iPhone… 26:02 iOS Apps coming to Android…why? 29:30 MKBHD - has he lost his way? 32:38 Singing to Apple’s song 36:53 Productivity & quality standards 51:05 Bringing onboard an editor & staff 56:55 Auto Dubbing in YouTube Studio
