Mastering Your Relationship: Part 5 of 5
This week's episode is part 5 of a 5 part series!! We did some research, ran the analytics, and asked you guys what you wanted to hear more of from us. Well, the verdict is in, you guys wanted to hear more about relationships, intimacy, and building a strong foundation with your partner. In this episode we cover our fourth set of 6 more foundations that build a strong, healthy relationship. First, we start out by discussing happiness and specifically, how to stay happy in a relationship. This set us up to talk about acceptance in the relationship. We discuss the main keys to acceptance. One of the biggest issues most partners face is when the other partner does something they find annoying (chewing loudly, loses their keys, talks too loud, etc.) We discuss the importance of accepting your partner for who he/she is and how to not let these pesky things get to you so you can better enjoy your relationship. Third, we discuss how to resolve conflict using a soft approach. We discuss the importance of using "I" statements, and how to keep the mood light during the resolution of this conflict. We then move on to discussing the power of nurturing. More specifically, we discuss how to nurture your partner. This is a crucial step in maintaining a healthy, and happy relationship. We next discuss the importance of treasuring what you have. Gratitude is the greatest form of love and we have to treasure what we have now rather than seethe over what we don't have. What we focus on, we create more of. So if we are always focused on that which we don't have, we will continue to live with a lack mentality in everything we do. This will lead us to see lack everywhere in life and we will never be able to find true happiness. Finally, we CELEBRATE!! Congratulations! You have made it through all 30 steps of mastering your relationship! How does it feel? Do you feel more prepared, stronger, and better equip to handle whatever comes your way in your relationship? You should!! And now, you deserve a celebration day to "treat yoself" with your partner. We discuss several ways to celebrate your relationship every single day with your partner. Get ready to take notes, we discuss exercises, tips, lists of ideas, and stories that may help you with where you are in your relationship right now. Even if you think your relationship is the strongest it has ever been, this podcast may help you build and even stronger relationship with your partner. We hope you have enjoyed this 5 part series! Please give us feedback on what you liked, didn't like, or what you want to see more of. We are so excited and blessed to have such a loyal and loving audience. You guys are the real MVPs!

Mastering Your Relationship: Part 4 of 5
This week's episode is part 4 of a 5 part series!! First, we discuss the difficult but completely necessary, asking for what you want. We know this step isn't easy for everyone which is why we have listed several methods to help you ask for what you want! Second, we discuss something vital to living your daily life as well as maintaining a healthy relationship: always being you. It may not be obvious at first that you have been adapting yourself to fit your partner's needs which is why we go over a questionnaire for you to fill out and decide for yourself if you are too busy being someone else to be your real self. Then, we will discuss knowing your boundaries. We go over some signs of weak or missing boundaries and walk through a brief exercise on building stronger boundaries. We also discuss responsibility and how vital it is to a working relationship. We talk about how to strengthen your levels of responsibility and the different ways of handling the issue of irresponsibility in a relationship. We discuss it from both the stand point of you being the irresponsible party and also from your partner being the irresponsible party and how to handle each circumstance. We also discuss the green-eyed monster: jealousy. So many relationships suffer or end because of jealousy. We discuss how to get to the root of the cause of jealousy and then combat the issue itself. Finally, we talk about being slow and sure in your relationship. Not getting too caught up too fast when first starting out, or rushing into marriage or into having kids before you're ready, etc. We also talk about when you should commit to a relationship and when you should NOT commit to a relationship. In each of these discussions we offer advice, tips, and tricks to grow closer to your partner through these vital 6 steps. Get ready to take notes, we discuss exercises, tips, lists of ideas, and stories that may help you with where you are in your relationship right now. Even if you think your relationship is the strongest it has ever been, this podcast may help you build and even stronger relationship with your partner. Don't feel like taking notes?? No problem!!
