Colm pertains to be a grizzled veteran of many a tabletop battle, in 40k, AoS, Middle Earth SBG, Kill Team, Mordheim but to name a few. Roger has seen active duty across many a card table, LCG, TCG, CCG, he knows what those abbreviations mean and even more about games. However, the galaxy is a large place and there are corners of the internet where only the brave and nerdy lurk. Roger has questions, Colm has answers and Roger gets homework.
Can a termagant advance through the ranks? Is a Blood Angel just a red Ultramarine? Do the Red Onez really go fasta? How doomed are we, and who is the Real Big Bad?

Necrons! Shiny angry ancient android antagonists. These guys and gals have been napping for over 60 million years and they are not good morning people. Especially when their galactic empire is overrun with vermin such as Orks and Humans.
This episode didn't take 60 million years but it is out a little later than expected. Roger made a promise that we would record an episode in September. We kept that promise. Then Colm missed a message from Roger and didn't publish the episode until October. We got lost again. This is what happens when two friends live in distant parts of the galaxy and only communicate through astropathic relay. No psykers were harmed in the making of this episode.

While Colm hopes one day that he will regale Roger with tales of the eight Mortal Realms, the two Lost Guardsmen have to navigate through the Galaxy of Warhammer 40k and Roger has questions about the Tyranids: who are they? Where did they come from? Will they eat us as we are or would they appreciate condiments?
Colm talks back through a quarter century of hobbying and lore reading, while Roger prevents the tangents from going too far down the rabbit hole. While Roger learns a reasonable amount in one session, this is definitely just the tip of the iceberg...
