I am one of the luckiest people in the world because I got to know my grandpa.
He was a saint, the most pure person I know. He was selfless, caring and generous, always willing to lend a hand.
Over the last year, I really made it a point to call multiple times a week and go out of my way to visit and grab lunch. You never get time back.
Over the last 3 months, my grandpa went to the hospital, then rehab and eventually hospice. Holding his hand, hugging and kissing him throughout was the most difficult / ultimately beautiful process to be apart of. I’m honored.
I remember one time last year when I was sitting on a park bench, talking with you. We talked for over an hour, you started to tell me how much I meant to you and how you saw the world for me. I had to mute the phone because I started sobbing, knowing I would remember that moment for the rest of my life.
To anyone reading this, it’s our duty to love ourselves and others more. Love is the healing that gets us through all the chaos, I promise you that you are beautiful ❤️

We have a constitution for the United States of America but none of us really have a constitution for ourselves. It's really important to take some time to think about what you want your life to look like and how you're actually going to get there. There's a saying in police training that in times of Crisis, we fall back on our training. The same goes for us. We need to have these systems in place that are wiring us for Success so our default setting is that of growth and prosperity.
