Since the last time we talked, Lindsay battled flat tires and wet electronics to complete 365 days on the road in Richmond, Virginia! She was evicted from a church, welcomed into a gun club, goes on a morning TV show, does some biking with my dad, almost photographs a wedding in her pajama pants, and finally is reunited with her boyfriend Tim and one of her dogs, the half-pug half-chihuahua Cody. This will be the last Lindsay Walks for a while, I think, but stay subscribed for details about a live recording we hope to do in Worcester, MA in about a month and a half or so!

In this episode, Lindsay talks about becoming facebook friends with C. Thomas Howell (aka Tommy), battling large hills and flat batteries, dealing with a car-sick dog, and visiting Babyland, where Cabbage Patch kids are born. She's almost back to her starting place in South Carolina, though she's got a fair amount of biking still to do after that.

This week, Lindsay and Jake discuss run-ins they had with drivers, and Lindsay is appalled at Jake's uncultured upbringing when it comes to Ernest movies.

This week, Lindsay reflects on the events in Las Vegas (where she used to live), talks about meeting up with her mother and going to a wedding, meets up with some friends she made on the trip west, and she and Cynthiana the dog get used to traveling by bike. Also, Jake gets to give his bleeper a nice little workout!

This week, Lindsay talks to Jake (and sometimes various small children and dogs) about a fellow cross-country traveler she met, the wildfires that are threatening so much of the west coast currently, religion, and other things she encountered while voyaging in her mighty Toyota Yaris rental.

This week, Lindsay starts retracing her path, except in reverse order and much faster. She empties out her cart, considers the pros and cons of traveling by car, and tries to keep Cynthiana the dog from taking on driving duties. She also visits Astoria, where a lot of the movie the Goonies was filmed. She also joins the '3200 club' and contemplates the community of cross-country walkers.

This week, Lindsay jumped into the Pacific Ocean! Whoooo!  And then she took some photos of the total eclipse.  It's been an eventful week! Also this week, Lindsay encounters a couple of plainclothes police officers, has a close encounter with eels, demonstrates different types of car horn use, and ascends Mount Hood, while Cynthiana the dog hurts her ankle (she's OK now).

This week, we recorded on one of Lindsay's rest days, following a week in which she was mistaken (?) for a hippie, was given an unexpected tour of fossil country, battled a steep mountain, and put some money on Surfing at the Bar, Vernon the Cat, and Impulsive Kate. The question of what Hogwarts house a dog might belong to is also addressed.
