This conversation with Roua was “Mad and Radical” just like how she described herself. It was about us two Sudanese women critically and madly addressing what we went through in our community.

Roua is a writer, poet, content creator, and change maker. Right before the war in Sudan broke out in April 2023, Roua decided to change her life and pursue a different lifestyle. When the war started, she was propelled to look within further and find new ways to express her freedom and individuality. She has found freedom in various forms of expression, including writing, dancing, drumming, and many more allowing her to create the change she wants to see in the world.
