We packed a whole lot into just one day in Germany.
I flew out with my brother Mike for a business meeting in Dresden, and Sarah tagged along to explore the city solo. We landed late in Berlin, grabbed some food to the hotel, and while flicking through the channels… let’s just say German TV took an unexpected turn.
The next morning, it was time for the Autobahn — BMW M850i, twin-turbo V8, Berlin to Dresden at ridiculous speeds. I’ve got my high-octane side of the trip to share, Sarah’s got her solo city adventures, and somewhere in between we catch up on life, laugh about the chaos, and swap stories from a whirlwind 24 hours abroad.

This week’s episode takes a wild turn — from our dog’s cologne routine to the great armpit shaving debate, and yes… we definitely talk about that Coldplay affair everyone’s been gossiping about.
Dan and Sarah break down the weird, wonderful, and totally unnecessary things we do (like grooming pets better than ourselves), argue about whether men should shave their pits, and dive headfirst into the viral meme of the CEO caught red-handed at a Coldplay gig.
It’s funny, chaotic, slightly unhinged — and exactly what you need after bedtime.

WHAT’S IN THE BOX?! 🎁I bought a $20 mystery box off eBay — supposedly packed with 20 brand-new items from a shop that’s gone out of business. Could be gadgets, could be glittery flip-flops… could be total rubbish.Join Sarah and me as we open it live on the podcast, one item at a time, with zero clue what’s inside.
Will it be a bargain haul or an absolute car boot nightmare? Let’s find out together — and try not to cry if it’s 19 packs of pencils.

What’s it really like trying to get a UK spouse visa as an American? In this episode, me and Sarah break down the full journey — from the mountain of paperwork to the endless stress and eye-watering costs of getting her first visa approved five years ago. Now, after years of proof-of-relationship files, biometrics, interviews, and visa renewals, Sarah has finally been granted Indefinite Leave to Remain and we’re one step away from full UK citizenship. We talk honestly (and a bit hilariously) about what it’s like to go through the UK’s immigration system as a real couple, now with two small kids, without a lawyer, and constantly panicking about getting rejected over something tiny. If you’ve ever wondered what the spouse visa process is actually like or you’re going through it now — this one’s for you.Did you know?To apply for a UK spouse visa, married couples must prove their relationship is genuine and ongoing, even if legally married. This means submitting detailed evidence like photos together, text message conversations, travel history, joint responsibilities, and supporting letters from friends or family — marriage alone isn’t enough! In our case, we were only DATING for SIX MONTHS and only met FIVE TIMES before we got married in Vegas.. It was wild! 🕙 New episodes every Monday and Thursday🎙️ The Late Mic Show — See you after bedtime.Linktree.com/TheLateMicShow
When our daughter Emmy was born prematurely at 26 weeks, we spent 87 unexpected, emotional days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
In this episode, we open up about that chapter of our lives — from navigating the whirlwind of Emmy’s NICU journey to juggling time and love between our newborn and our toddler, Henry.
We also talk about the incredible support we received staying at Cots for Tots House, a Bristol-based charity providing free accommodation for families with critically ill babies at St Michael’s Hospital. It was more than just a place to sleep — it became a home for us.
We share some of the real diary entries we wrote during those 87 days, reflect on the friendships we made with other NICU parents that became like a support family in the charity house.
At the heart of it, this episode is for any parent staring into the unknown, wondering if things can turn out okay. We didn’t know where to look for hopeful stories back then — so maybe this can be one for you.
*Trigger Warning*This episode gets real.Me and Sarah sit down to talk through the terrifying journey of our second pregnancy — from unexplained bleeding to an emergency C-section at just 26 weeks. After weeks of heavy bleeding, Sarah’s waters broke at just 23 weeks. She was admitted to hospital and told she could be staying until 34 weeks… but everything changed at 26 weeks when Emmy’s heart rate suddenly dropped. An emergency C-section was performed, and our daughter Emmy was born weighing just 1lb 8oz.This is Part 1 of our story — raw, honest, and hopefully helpful to any parents facing complications in pregnancy. Next time, we’ll take you inside the NICU, where our tiny 1lb 8oz warrior spent the first 3 months of her life inside an incubator. We’ll talk about Emmy’s jouney in NICU, the friends we made, the charity the helped us so much - and what it was really like bringing home a baby born so early.Hope you enjoyed this one or it helped you feel like you're not alone.. As always, See you after bedtime.
Trigger warning - Pregnancy, graphic descriptions, childbirth, and new born.
In this episode, we sit down and talk about what it was really like becoming parents for the first time — from pregnancy to the moment we met our son, Henry.
It wasn’t picture-perfect. Sarah ended up facing most of the hospital stay alone and I wasn’t allowed to be there for much of it due to Covid restrictions. I struggled as I didn’t feel the instant bond I thought I was supposed to and Sarah felt all alone in the hospital, scared is an understatement.
This one’s about the messy, emotional, unforgettable experience of welcoming our first child — the things no one really tells you about.
As always, thanks for listening — and see you after bedtime.
We started arguing before we even hit record — over a phone charger. And it only got worse (and funnier) from there.
This episode is full of nonsense: where you’d hide a paperclip from the FBI, whether cheddar cheese was actually invented in Cheddar, and the ultimate breakfast battle — Full English vs American. Spoiler: it got heated.
It’s petty, ridiculous, and way too relatable. But we promise, it’s all love… kind of.
Please like and follow if you enjoy listening, it really helps us out and as always.. see you after bedtime.
We kick things off with some of the BEST impressions you’ll ever hear.. from dodgy British and American accents to a downright disturbing attempt at Gollum. It’s safe to say, this episode starts off silly.
Then we dive into what it was like growing up with siblings — I talk about life with my brother, and Sarah shares stories from growing up with her sister. From childhood fights to funny bonding moments that brought us closer, we unpack all the sibling drama and nostalgia.
It’s funny, it’s real, and it’ll definitely make you think about your own childhood — or at least laugh at our terrible accents.
As always, thanks for listening — and see you after bedtime.
This weekend was WILD.
Me and Sarah packed our bags, kissed the kids goodbye and headed to London for two unreal back-to-back shows.
Friday night, Sam Fender absolutely tore down the London Stadium. We were people-watching, singing like lunatics, and I had my first many drinks of the year… which led to me making friends on the tube and dancing like a complete idiot in a random club after.
Then Saturday, we hit the O2 Arena for Kill Tony LIVE — and honestly, one of the funniest, rawest comedy shows I’ve ever seen. We’re breaking it all down — from the bucket pulls, the regulars and the weirdos in the crowd.
This episode’s got music, comedy, some couple banter, and a bit of public embarrassment.
Thanks for listening — and as always…
see you after bedtime.
What would you do if… you could time travel? Win the lottery? Found out your partner was secretly on OnlyFans? 😳💰🚀
In this episode, we’re diving headfirst into the ultimate hypothetical rabbit hole. Me and Sarah throw each other into wild “what if” scenarios — some hilarious, some outrageous, and some that might make you question everything you think you’d do.
From debating which era we’d visit with a time machine, to spending imaginary lottery millions, we’re putting ourselves in the hot seat. And yes — we get into the juicy one: what happens when trust, secrets, and a cheeky subscription service collide?
It’s funny, honest, and full of unexpected turns. Hit play, and ask yourself… what would you do?
- See you after bedtime.
One ridiculous clip. 10.4 million views. All by accident.
In this episode of The Late Mic Show, I sit down with my mate Sam — we’ve known each other nearly 20 years — to talk about the gaming moment that accidentally blew up online, our friendship, silly voices we do together and somehow we went down a path of struggling with mental health.
