In today's pod-episode I had a conversation with Amanda Kandawire-Khoza, to uncover her journey in Aviation. She is a First Officer (Pilot) on the Airbus 380, an entrepreneur and mentor from Soweto. She prefers describing herself as the girl from next-door to showcase that it take no extraordinary person to achieve extraordinary things, anyone can do it really. She is the founder of Fly Like A Girl (FLAG) which is an accessories brand with a message to empower and celebrate our country's rich cultures.
In our conversation today she shared how having that blind-faith, can-do attitude and believing in your dreams had her achieving one of her greatest dreams, which was to become a pilot. She also shared some of the challenges in getting into aviation and the limiting beliefs one has to unlearn and do away with to survive in aviation.
I do hope you learn a thing or two from this episode. Do enjoy.
