Have you heard about Christina Perri and her efforts towards raising awareness for blood clotting conditions and their role in recurrent miscarriages after having losses of her own? I am so thrilled that she is using her voice to draw attention to this and making an effort to change the standards of testing to hopefully save more babies' lives! But it's not just about WHEN to test... listen to this episode to hear about what else could make a significant impact in the standards of testing for blood clotting conditions in pregnancy. It would be so amazing if we could come together to continue this mission!
In this episode, I announce some exciting news but also discuss the reasons why IVF may not be the solution to bringing home baby and what you should do BEFORE pursuing IVF to maximize your chances of success! This is a good one, ESPECIALLY if you are considering IVF, so if that's you, be sure to take a listen!
On today's episode, I discuss how similar experiences in recurrent pregnancy loss can differ greatly and my own perspective on why I still have my pregnancy tests and will likely never be able to get rid of them. I hope this episode is a connecting source for you and helps you feel less alone! I look forward to hearing your story, so be sure to reach out after you've taken a listen. Rooting for you!
On last week's episode, we discussed how the journey through infertility and recurrent miscarriages can affect our relationships, specifically surrounding intimacy. So for today's episode, I wanted to have a lighter, more fun conversation that will hopefully ignite some ideas to get you motivated to focus on your partner again and spark some passion! If you have any ideas that weren't mentioned here, be sure to share them with us on TikTok @JourneyWithConfidence!
Nothing can kill the spark more than tracking ovulation, scheduling intimacy, and endless doctor appointments month after month. Add in recurrent miscarriages and it's no wonder intimacy and connection with your partner can take a hit through this journey. In today's episode, I reflect on the ways this journey affected my own relationship and intimacy and discuss what my husband and I could have done differently to strengthen our bond instead of weaken it. My hope is that this episode can help you and your partner avoid similar hurdles as you navigate this crazy journey. Hugs, friend!
This episode is PACKED full of all my best tips for advocating RESPECTFULLY. I know it can be intimidating to speak up to your doctors, so I break down all the do's (and a big don't!) so you can feel confident advocating for yourself and your baby!
On this episode of Line Eyes, I let you in on some truth bombs about doctors and how our view of doctors can affect our mindset regarding self advocacy. And then I get into the most important part - how you can own your power and prepare your mindset for EFFECTIVE self advocating. This is a good one, friend!
Since last week's episode about taking care of yourself through a miscarriage mentioned a few ideas of remembering your angels as a way to cope and heal, I thought it would be fun to go throw away the schedule for a week and give you an episode full of creative ideas for remembering and honoring your angel babies! I hope you enjoy these ideas and are able to incorporate some into new family traditions so your angels can remain a very much loved and honored part of your family. Hugs, friend!
For this episode, I recruited the help of other recurrent pregnancy loss warriors to bring you some creative ideas of ways to pamper and take care of yourself, both mentally and physically, while you are experiencing a miscarriage. When looking back through my own journey, I really wish I had taken better care of myself during my times of loss, so I really hope that this episode finds you at the right time so that you can remember to do something for YOU. If you are experiencing a loss right now, please know that my heart goes out to you and that I am thinking of you. It may not feel like it, but you are so strong.
A huge THANK YOU to all of the loss mamas who contributed ideas for this episode. You are going to help so many warriors!
Nothing is more frustrating than having a doctor brush off your miscarriage or chemical pregnancy! In today's episode, I go into my theories as to why it seems like your doctors aren't taking your losses seriously. And to make this episode more impactful, I discuss some other options to address your losses that you may not have considered yet.
In today's episode, we discuss the fertility limbo of recurrent pregnancy loss, being stuck somewhere in between infertile and fertile and the feelings that come along with it.
