#06: How Nutrition Can Help You Unlabel Yourself, Harness Your Creative Energy and Show Up in the World — Tennielle O'Callaghan
Health is one of the most important and prevalent conversations in modern day society, and yet collectively we are sicker than ever before. Tennielle O'Callaghan is a women's health coach and nutrition and movement expert who is dedicated to changing that, specifically in women's health. But Tennielle is more than just a 'coach'. She is dedicated to helping people achieve their dreams and get the most out of their lives through educating them and guiding them on one life's most foundational principles. Food. Over the last year and a half, I have witnessed Tennielle put so much of her time, energy and wisdom into helping my life partner Hayley with her own health journey, and have seen firsthand how much Tennielle cares about what she does and the women she works with.  You probably think you know quite a lot about food, as did I. But this conversation invites you to think about your relationship with food as a building block for all your relationships: with yourself, with your creativity, and with the world. We also talk about embracing the unknown as the path to success, being of service, and how men can best support the important women in their lives through their personal health journeys. I hope you find this episode of The Journey Podcast as beautiful and valuable as I did. Follow Tennielle on Instagram. Check out her website. Listen to 'Women Who Dream'

#05: Astrology as a Tool to Understand Yourself & Your Relationships & Claim Your Power — Cosmic Cures
Bex Milford, aka COSMIC CURES, is a writer and astrologer who takes us on a journey to understand and redefine astrology from a mystic art to a useful tool to help us understand our relationships with ourselves, each other and the world around us. In this beautiful conversation we discuss the importance of self-inquiry, the art of surrender, and using mindfulness in times of great challenge.  We also break down some of the misconceptions about practices like astrology and deep dive into the power and purpose of human spirituality and why everyone is a believer in some form.  It's always a pleasure to talk to Bex, and I'm sure you will enjoy this beautiful conversation as much as I did.  Follow Bex on Instagram: @cosmic_cures Visit her website: cosmiccures.co.uk/ Dig into your astrology chart here: astro-seek.com

#04: Building Reciprocity with Land & Doing Hard Things to Find Joy — Lexie Obey
Lexie Obey is a Piapot First Nations women and a trail runner, who recently starred in a beautiful short film titled Miyo-Kiyokâwin, which means "visiting in a good way". In it, Lexie explores her connection to the land, and the often difficult balance between using extreme sports to "conquer the mountain" or "visit the mountain". It’s my honour to talk to Lexie about how to practice reciprocity with the land, and how to start making that important change in perspective from seeing land as a thing to land as spirit. We also talk about doing hard things as a path to finding joy, what it’s like to be both environmentally conscious and a tree-planter in Canada, and how individualism and spiritual connection with land and nature are diametrically opposed. I am blessed to have my good friend Lexie Obey on The Journey Podcast, and I hope you find as much joy and value in this conversation as I did. Joe Skopec is a legend in Ontario Rock Climbing. He is a 14D climber known for his community spirit, his unquenchable stoke, and most recently for climbing every single sport route in the Southern Ontario guidebooks. He is also a good friend and a role model for me and for many climbers in Ontario. During this beautiful conversation we discuss building healthy relationships with both failure and with fear, finding joy, following your own stoke, and why Joe is giving up the iconic climbing milestone of climbing 5.15A to start a family. Whether you’re a climber or thinking about climbing, or got no interest in climbing, Joe Skopec’s unique and infectious outlook on life is a simple, powerful, and inspiring message that everyone should hear. #02 - 29-year-old Brain Cancer Survivor Finn Connolly talks Goal Setting & Using Exposure Therapy to Prepare for Challenges
Finnan Connolly was 29-years old when he was diagnosed with a grade 2 glioma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Less than a month later he was undergoing open brain surgery to remove a golf-ball size tumour from his brain. Since then, Finn has had to overcome a series of physical, mental and emotional challenges to return to a “normal” life. Finn’s determination to get his life back and even improve many aspects of his life beyond where they were pre-cancer, is truly inspiring. During this stimulating conversation we discuss the intense mental and emotional journey of living with the omnipresent threat of recurrence, finding positives in the face of extreme adversity, and what it’s like to get told you have 9 years to live. We also discuss the line between performance-driven and fear-driven action, the power of setting goals, and using exposure therapy to prepare yourself for the hardest moments in life. I’m really excited to bring you this first full-length episode of The Journey Podcast, with a man who has been on one hell of a journey just to stay alive.
