
In today's episode I am joined by Sam Cleaver, Men (& Women's) Health & Performance Coach, an expert on health, hormones and lifestyle. Sam has been coaching for over 8 years, travelling globally educating himself to help others optimise their physical, cognitive & leadership performance to achieve all-encompassing success.
We dive into the harsh truths that many of us have been chronically undereating for decades, which has in turn taken a toll on our metabolisms and affecting our health and performance. Sam shares his knowledge and experience with ways to restore optimum health, balance hormones and connect intuitively to our own individual bodies. We discuss the truth about how our external environment is elevating stress levels and creating confusing signals for us to know our bodies, what we truly need to reconnect to ourselves and respect our basic needs such as sleep and rest for true recovery. Sam shares ways to naturally boost dopamine levels exploring alternatives to promote deep rest in short spaces of time when our energy may slump vs reaching for stimulants and stressing the body out for a "quick hit". We tap into how habitual patterns can be dictating our behaviours, emotions and beliefs and how we can recalibrate these with practice and patience of visualisation supported by getting our foundations of sleep and rest. We also share the importance of learning to trust ourselves through exploration, coaching and application as well as the importance of making ourselves a priority in this modern day world.
