2. Aswin Subramanyan Interviews Joli Knott
Welcome to "The Joli-Aswin Show"! And thank you for joining us on this second episode where Aswin interviews Joli in order for listeners to get to know her as a person, as well as an astrologer, better.  We hope you enjoy the show and would love to hear any feedback you have to share! ~Joli & Aswin Show notes: Smell is the only one of our 5 senses that is not routed through the thalamus to get to the cortex. Instead, aromas and odours travel directly to the olfactory nerve, thus bypassing the thalamus altogether. The information from smell is thus relayed to the limbic system and is why certain smells can trigger detailed memories and strong emotions.   In this episode, Joli mistakenly says "hypothalamus" instead of "thalamus". The latter retrieves sensory information for the cortex, while the former is responsible for homeostasis in the body and for stimulating hormone production. Please accept her regret for the error!
