68 - Ed Gein
For spooky October, Jeff tells the story of the Ed Gein, The Butcher of Plainfield. Gein is known for his gruesome crimes in the 1950s, which included the murder of two women and exhumation of corpses of local cemeteries. Some of his disturbing practices include using human skin and body parts to create clothing and household items. Gein's crimes shocked and horrified the nation but they also inspired Norman Bates in the 1960 movie Psycho, Leatherface in Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs. Find out why Ed Gein is a notorious figure in American true crime history.
