Malayalis Prabha and Anu are nurses living together in Mumbai. Prabha is straitlaced and upright, and yearns for her husband who lives in Germany and only came to India once for a short arranged marriage with her, but has not called her in over a year. Anu is more outgoing and is having a secret affair with a Muslim man named Shiaz.[9]
One day, Prabha and Anu receive a modern rice cooker from an unknown sender; although the cooker is made in Germany. A doctor, Manoj, tries to seduce Prabha, but she rejects his advances, claiming her marital status.
Prabha tries to help Parvaty, the cook at their hospital, fight against a greedy construction worker who wants to demolish her chawl to build a skyscraper. Unable to claim legal tenancy, Parvaty decides to quit her job and move back to her village near Ratnagiri. Prabha and Anu travel with her, to help her relocate.
Unbeknownst to Prabha and Parvaty, Shiaz has followed Anu. They secretly meet up, which Prabha discovers. Later they have sex. Meanwhile, Prabha rescues a middle-aged man from drowning by performing CPR. While he is waiting for the local doctor, Prabha cleans and cares for him. She begins having a conversation with him, transforming him into her husband. He apologises for abandoning her and seeks her forgiveness, but she tells him that she does not want to see him ever again.
That night, at a beach shack, Prabha asks a surprised Anu to invite Shiaz to sit with herself and Parvaty. They all chat happily, as the lights of the shack shine over them.

Ishaan is an 8-year-old boy living in Mumbai, who has trouble following school. He is assumed by all to simply hate learning and deemed a troublemaker, and is belittled for it. He has even repeated the 3rd standard due to his academic failures from the previous year. Ishaan's imagination, creativity, and talent for art and painting are often disregarded. Ishaan's father, Nandkishore Awasthi, is a successful executive who expects his sons to excel and his mother, Maya, is a homemaker who is frustrated by her inability to educate Ishaan. His elder brother Yohaan is an exemplary student and athlete in whose shadow Ishaan remains, though he is the most supportive of Ishaan.
One day his parents are called by the principal to discuss his behavior and grades. Fed up with Ishaan's failures, lack of improvement, and rebellious behavior, Nandkishore sends him to a boarding school despite Maya and Yohan's protests. Alone there, Ishaan rapidly sinks into a state of fear, anxiety and depression, which is only worsened by the teachers' strict and abusive regime. Ishaan's only friend is Rajan Damodaran, a physically disabled boy who is one of the top students and resides with his family there, as his father is part of the school's board. Ishaan contemplates suicide one day, but is stopped thanks to Rajan's interference. Rajan subsequently informs Ishaan that Mr. Holkar, the boarding school's art teacher, has left and is being replaced by someone else.
Ram Shankar Nikumbh, a cheerful and optimistic instructor at the Tulips School for young children with developmental disabilities, joins as the boarding school's temporary art teacher the same day, replacing Mr. Holkar. Ram's teaching style is markedly different from Holkar's, and Ram quickly notes Ishaan's unhappiness after Ishaan fails to draw anything during the class. Ram reviews Ishaan's work and concludes that his academic shortcomings are indicative of dyslexia. Ram then visits Ishaan's house in Mumbai, where Ram is surprised to discover Ishaan's hidden interest in art. Flustered, Ram demonstrates to Maya and Yohaan how Ishaan has extreme difficulty in understanding letters and words due to dyslexia and his poverty in sports skills stems from his poor motor ability (which also applies to his difficulty in tying shoelaces and judging the size, speed and distance of a ball). Nandkishore labels it as an intellectual disability (as well as an excuse) and dismisses it as laziness, much to Ram's frustration.
Back at school, Ram brings up the topic of dyslexia in a class by offering a list of famous dyslexic people. Ram comforts Ishaan, telling him how he struggled as a child as well. Ram obtains the principal's permission to become Ishaan's tutor. With gradual care, Ram works to improve Ishaan's reading and writing by using remedial techniques developed by dyslexia specialists. Eventually, both Ishaan's demeanor and grades improve. One day, Nandkishore visits the school and tells Ram that he and Maya have read up on dyslexia and understand the condition. Ram mentions that what Ishaan needs more than understanding is that someone loves him. Outside, Nandkishore sees Ishaan attempting to read from a board. With teary eyes, Nandkishore is unable to face Ishaan and he walks away.

Shamsher Singh is a powerful Indian arms dealer in Abu Dhabi and owns a private island, Al-Shifa, for trading arms. Sikander “Sikku” Singh is Shamsher's stepson. Yash, Shamsher's assistant, is a close associate at Shamsher's empire, and Raghuvendra "Raghu" Singh, is the personal assistant and close confidante to Shamsher. In a flashback scene, it is revealed that Rana Singha is Shamsher's business rival, who creates problems for Shamsher's family and his business. As Sanjana and Sooraj, Shamsher's children, reach 25 years old, their family lawyer explains their deceased mother's will. As per the will, the twins are entitled to 50% of the property and 50% of the shares as joint partners (25% each), and the remaining 50% for Sikander. This disparity causes the twins to hate Sikander even more as Shamsher preferred Sikander over the twins. Shamsher tells both of them that Sikander is the son of Shamsher's elder brother, Ranchor Singh, who was actually CEO of Al-Shifa.
In a flashback, that portrays the Handia village of the 1970s, the history of the Singh family is depicted. Both the Singh brothers used to supply weapons to Indian army. Local politicians of Handia asked them for illegal weapons, to which Ranchor refused. His refusal caused a rivalry with a local politician, Gajendra Pathak. One day, during an ambush on an arms truck which was owned by Ranchor's company, Gajendra’s son Narendra was killed by Ranchor. Ranchor then died when his car was blown-up by a bomb. The arms company owned by the Singh family was declared to be an anti-state organization and accused of supplying weapons to terrorists. Shamsher sent Sikander to Beijing for studies and took Sikander's widowed mother Sumitra to Al-Shifa. After a year, the twins were born.
In present-day Al-Shifa, one night, Yash talks about his girlfriend. Sikander reveals that in Beijing, he fell in love with a girl named Jessica who severed ties with him. Shamsher's childhood friend Brijmohan tells him that his friend's hotel was used by politicians for their lascivious motives where all the activity was captured on a spy video camera and stored on a hard disk. The hard disk was kept in a bank locker in Cambodia. Shamsher appoints Sikander to recover the hard disk, and he promises to get the disk. The next day, during a party, it is revealed that Jessica is actually Yash's girlfriend. Sikander and Jessica meet privately in the security room. The next day, Sooraj and Sanjana, who had recorded the Sikander-Jessica meet, screen the video to Yash. A furious Yash goes to Jessica's apartment and finds Sikander present with her. Sikander later tells him that both of their past interactions with Jessica were planned by Sooraj and Sanjana, as part of their plan to destroy Sikander. Yash teams up with Sikander against the twins but pretends to be with the twins as well. Sikander, the twins, Yash and Jessica, execute the mission to recover the hard disk.

A nude humanoid alien lands on Earth on a research mission in Rajasthan, India, and is stranded when the remote control to summon his spaceship is stolen. In Belgium, an Indian woman, Jagat "Jaggu" Janani Sahni, meets a Pakistani man, Sarfaraz Yousuf, and falls in love with him. Her father objects to their relationship, citing their different religions, and consults their family astrologer, godman Tapasvi Maharaj, who predicts Sarfaraz will betray Jaggu. Determined to prove them wrong, Jaggu asks Sarfaraz to marry her, only to be heartbroken after receiving an unsigned letter calling off their wedding and not to contact him.
Jaggu returns to India and becomes a journalist. She is intrigued after finding the alien distributing pamphlets about a "missing" God. She earns his trust by rescuing him when he attempts to take money from a temple's donation box as a "refund" for God's broken promises, and he opens up to her. He stole clothes and money from a couple having sex in a car and befriended a bandmaster, Bhairon Singh. He learned Bhojpuri at a brothel by holding hands and exchanging memories with a prostitute and started looking for the thief who stole his remote in Delhi, where he earned the name "PK" (drunk) as people thought he was intoxicated when getting confused with different religions. When told only God can help him, he began practising many Indian religions, including Hinduism, Sikhism, Christianity and Islam, attempting to find "God" to no avail. He found out Tapasvi had his remote but refused to return it, claiming it was a gift from God. Believing his story after a brief hesitation, Jaggu promises to help PK.
After Jaggu pranks an unknown caller in front of him, PK naively conjectures Tapasvi and his other godmen must be unintentionally dialing a "wrong number" to communicate with God, advising the public against engaging in meaningless rituals for their prayers. Intrigued, Jaggu encourages the public to expose fraudulent godmen by sending their videos to her news channel. Gradually, this "wrong number" campaign turns into a popular mass movement, much to the dismay of Tapasvi. Meanwhile, Bhairon finds the thief in Rajasthan and informs PK that he sold the remote to Tapasvi. PK realises Tapasvi was a fraud all along, intentionally misleading people. Bhairon and the thief are later killed in a terrorist attack.
PK claims people should believe in the "real" God that created them instead of other fraudulent godmen and their "duplicate" God. Tapasvi claims he has a direct connection to "God", citing his prediction of Sarfaraz's betrayal to prove Muslims to be liars. Having absorbed Jaggu's memories earlier, PK claims he can disprove his prediction and reveals Sarfaraz had not written the letter to Jaggu, citing the presence of another bride as a possible recipient that day. Shocked, Jaggu contacts the Pakistani Embassy in Belgium, where Sarfaraz worked part-time, and learns Sarfaraz has been awaiting her call for a long time, proving he still loves her. It is revealed that Sarfaraz had found the same letter that day and, believing it to be from Jaggu, stopped contacting her. Jaggu and Sarfaraz tearfully reconnect while Jaggu's father realises Tapasvi's true colours, and forces him to return the remote to PK.

Ranvijay "Vijay" Singh is the son of Balbir Singh, a powerful Delhi-based industrialist, owner of Swastik Steels, a generational steel empire. Vijay is an aggressive person with extremist masculine views. Despite Balbir being a strict father, Vijay idolises and worships him. Balbir doesn't know about his son's devotion to him due to his busy schedule, which also keeps him from spending time with his family.
One day, Balbir expels a teenage Vijay to a boarding school in the US when Vijay threatens the bullies of his elder sister Reet with an AK-47. Vijay finishes his education and becomes a spacecraft engineer and returns home after several years. During Balbir's birthday party, Vijay gets into an argument with his brother-in-law, Varun, prompting Balbir to expel him from the house again. Vijay marries his childhood girlfriend, Geetanjali, and the couple cuts ties with their families and moves to the US, where they have two children.
Eight years later, Vijay now a bearded brute returns to India upon learning that Balbir was the victim of an assassination attempt. After meeting his father, Vijay reconciles and takes charge of his family and openly threatens to slit the throats of the people involved in the assassination attempt on live television. He rounds up his cousins from the village for backup security and recruits a body double for his father, who is eventually killed by a gangster named Asrar Haque. Vijay discovers Varun's role in the assassination attempt and kills him publicly at a conference with his cousins, where Asrar is also present. When Vijay and his cousins meet Freddy, an arms dealer, at a hotel, Asrar arrives with his assailants to kill Vijay. Vijay takes them all down with a machine gun but Asrar shoots him multiple times, but Vijay kills Asrar and threatens to destroy everyone involved, but he gets severely wounded and bedridden with a damaged sense of hearing.
Two weeks later, Vijay undergoes a heart transplant for his failing heart. In Scotland, Asrar's elder brother Abrar Haque learns of Asrar's death during Abrar's third wedding and publicly kills the messenger at the wedding. Abrar and his other brother Abid head to a house, where they shoot the man who was keeping tabs on Asrar, revealing Abrar was the one behind Balbir's assassination attempt. Vijay recuperates after several months and is approached by Zoya, the fiancée of his heart donor. Vijay starts an extramarital affair with Zoya, who eventually reveals that she was sent by Abrar to honeytrap him so that one of his brothers, who transformed himself into another Vijay through plastic surgery, would kill his family. Vijay reveals that he already knew this and played along to learn the mastermind's identity, but allows her to walk away unharmed after insulting her.

Siddharth is a helpful youngster and adopted son of Ashok, a kind-hearted corporate business magnate. He leads a happy life in Melbourne, Australia taking care of his father's business and fighting for his native country's pride. Siddharth meets and falls for Nandini, a salsa instructor and the daughter of Ashok's friend Jagadeesh. Siddharth's life takes a tragic turn as he loses his whole family in a flight crash and returns to Bangalore to his orphanage headed by Krishna, who now runs an old-age home. Siddharth discovers that Ashok was framed for the deaths of infant children due to the polio scheme introduced by Ashok for the poor people and he decides to prove Ashok's innocence.
Siddharth looks after the old people in an old age home and solves their problems, while also purchasing medicines for the children affected by the polio scheme. One day, Siddharth comes across Vishwa Joshi in the hospital, who also stays at the old-age home. Joshi reveals that the polio scheme was actually ruined due to the machinations created by his son Jagannath, the present Health Minister of Karnataka. Joshi wants to expose the illegal acts committed by Jagannath and was hiding in the old-age home for the right time to expose him.
Siddharth supports Vishwa Joshi and makes Jagannath hand over the case to CBI for further investigation in a news interview. Jagannath tries to ruin their plans, where he gets the old age home and Joshi attacked by his henchmen. However, Jagannath has a change of heart, where he saves Joshi and surrenders himself to the police and all the old people reunite with their children, after realizing their mistakes from Siddharth, who gave a speech at a news.

In the year 2054, Mickey Barnes and his friend Timo are financially destitute after a failed business venture. Unable to repay a murderous loan shark, the pair flee by signing up as crew for a spaceship that leaves Earth to colonize the planet Niflheim — Timo as a shuttle pilot and Mickey as the spaceship's only "Expendable". Using Earth-banned technology to clone Mickey and restore his memories, Mickey is treated as disposable, given lethal assignments and regenerated after death. During the voyage, a romance develops between Mickey and security agent Nasha.
Four years later, the spaceship arrives at snowy Niflheim. Using several Mickeys sequentially, the spaceship's scientists develop a vaccine against Niflheim's pathogens. Mickey 17, the seventeenth Mickey iteration, is tasked to capture Niflheim's caterpillar-like lifeform ("creeper") for analysis. He falls into a fissure in the ice, beyond the reach of Timo, who leaves and reports Mickey 17's death. The creepers arrive and collectively push Mickey 17 out of the fissure.
Mickey 17 returns to the spaceship and meets the recently generated Mickey 18, who is more aggressive. As the expedition's leader, politician Kenneth Marshall, has vowed to kill any "Multiples" (simultaneously living clones), Mickey 18 tries to kill Mickey 17, who resists, suggesting that the Mickeys live by secretly rotating duties, meals and deaths. Mickey 18 then tries to kill Timo, but is interrupted and leaves with Nasha. Mickey 17 is brought to dinner with Marshall, his wife Ylfa, and security agent Kai. Mickey 17 suffers severe pain after being served experimental meat and being treated with experimental painkillers. Kai intervenes to stop Marshall from executing Mickey 17. Kai later woos Mickey 17, who flees.
Nasha learns of the Mickeys and accepts them both. Kai discovers the Mickeys, and goes to report them. Nasha stops Kai, who asks Nasha to let Kai have Mickey 17. When Mickey 17 informs Mickey 18 what happened at dinner, an enraged Mickey 18 decides to kill Marshall. Mickey 18 finds Marshall at a public ceremony commemorating a piece of Niflheim rock. Chaos ensues when two young creepers emerge from the rock. Mickey 17 arrives and captures creeper Zoco. Creeper Luko is killed by Kai and other security agents after Luko jumped on Marshall. Nasha stops Mickey 18 from killing Marshall, who discovers the Multiples. Mickey 17, Mickey 18 and Nasha are arrested. Numerous creepers arrive outside the ship, calling out to Zoco.

Anora "Ani" Mikheeva, a 23-year-old stripper, lives in Brighton Beach, a Russian-American neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York City. Her boss introduces her to Ivan "Vanya" Zakharov, the 21-year-old son of the Russian oligarch Nikolai Zakharov, who requests someone fluent in Russian. Though Vanya is in the U.S. to study, he spends most of his time partying in clubs and playing video games in his family's Brooklyn mansion.
Vanya hires Anora for several sexual encounters and offers her €13755.76 to stay with him for a week. During a trip to Las Vegas, he expresses disdain for his parents and Russia, and impulsively proposes. Anora agrees, and they elope at a wedding chapel. She quits her job and moves into Vanya's mansion. When news of their marriage reaches Russia, Vanya's mother, Galina, orders his Armenian godfather, Toros, to find them and arrange an annulment while she and Nikolai fly to the U.S.
Toros sends his henchmen, Garnik and Igor, to the mansion. They inform Vanya that his parents are taking him back to Russia and enrage Anora by calling her a prostitute and suggesting Vanya only married her for a green card. Vanya escapes, and Anora fights Garnik and Igor before they subdue and restrain her. When Toros arrives, he lectures Anora about Vanya's immaturity and financial reliance on his father. He confiscates her wedding ring, gags her, and offers her €9170.51 for the annulment. Anora insists she and Vanya are in love but agrees to help find him.
Anora, Toros, Garnik, and Igor search Brooklyn. Anora learns from friends that Vanya is at her former strip club, being entertained by a dancer. They find him intoxicated and force him to wait outside the courthouse until morning. The annulment is dismissed since the marriage occurred in Nevada.
At the airport, Anora introduces herself to Nikolai and Galina in Russian, but Galina rejects her. Vanya, conceding to his parents, tells Anora their marriage is impossible, and Galina orders everyone onto a plane to Las Vegas. Having not signed a prenuptial agreement, Anora pledges to file for a divorce settlement, but Galina threatens her with financial ruin if she does not agree. Realizing Vanya's spinelessness and his family's power, Anora signs the papers. Igor suggests Vanya apologize, but Galina refuses. Anora insults them both before leaving, telling Galina that Vanya married her to rile his mother.
Igor takes Anora back to New York to collect her belongings. At the mansion, she confronts Igor about their encounter, accusing him of assault and saying he would have raped her if they had been alone. The next morning, Igor gives Anora the money and drives her home. In the car, he returns her wedding ring. Anora initiates sex with him but stops when he tries to kiss her; she breaks down, sobbing in his arms.

Uri: The Surgical Strike is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language war action film written and directed by debutant Aditya Dhar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala under the RSVP Movies banner.[5] A fictionally dramatised account of the true event of the retaliation to the 2016 Uri attack, the film stars Vicky Kaushal along with Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal, Kirti Kulhari and Mohit Raina in pivotal roles, and tells the story of Major Vihaan Shergill (Vicky Kaushal) of the Para (Special Forces), who played a leading role in the events.[6][7]
Screwvala announced the film in September 2017, a year after the 2016 Indian Line of Control strike. The principal photography began from June 2018 in Serbia where it was majorly shot before being wrapped up in September in Mumbai. It was released on 11 January 2019 to critical acclaim from critics and audiences alike, praising the performances of the cast, screenplay, action sequences, sound design, direction and technical aspects[8] and was also a recipient of various accolades including four National Film Awards.[9]
Made on a budget of ₹44 crore, Uri: The Surgical Strike grossed ₹342.73 crore (US$48.67 million) worldwide, emerging as the fourth highest-grossing Hindi film of 2019.

Saraswati "Saru" Parthasaarthy, a traditional Telugu librarian, is rejected by suitors who find her old-fashioned. Her sister Kaveri's wedding is postponed until Saru marries. When Kaveri threatens to elope, Saru promises to find a husband soon. Inder Lal Parihaar, an ex-convict known for his tough attitude, moves into the same building. The original owner, Lily, has already transferred ownership to Inder. Inder immediately falls for Saru. He breaks up with his girlfriend, Ruby Malhotra. Saru and Inder meet in the elevator by accident and later at the library where Saru works. At the library, Inder tries to pass written messages to Saru multiple times, but she overlooks them all the time. A drunk Ruby barges in, misunderstands the situation, and throws a wine bottle at Saru. Inder shields Saru and gets injured. As they leave for treatment, the security guard sees them and assumes they're intimate, alerting the neighbors. Saru tends to Inder's wounds. Later, Jayram (Saru's father) and neighbors find Saru in Inder's bed, misinterpreting the scene. Jayram, embarrassed, disowns Saru. Saru confides in her mother but asks her to keep it secret for Kaveri's marriage's sake.
Inder helps Saru find a new apartment and get a makeover, attracting Abhimanyu's attention. Inder remains silent when Abhimanyu proposes. On the wedding day, Abhimanyu rejects Saru due to family pressure, leaving her devastated. She spends the night with Inder. Later, after learning from Abhimanyu that Saru rejected him that morning, Inder tracks her down at a monastery and confesses his love. Saru faints; at the hospital, Inder learns she has terminal meningioma. He confronts her parents and is arrested. After being discharged, Saru discovers Inder's love through messages he left at the library. They reunite, and Saru proposes marriage. That night, Saru tells Inder that after her death, she wishes to be buried under a beautiful flowering tree. Inder meets Jayram and tells him that he is marrying Saru and would even die for her. On their wedding day, Saru's parents arrive and give their blessing. Saru faints after the wedding and is hospitalized. Her parents learn about her illness, and Jayram feels heartbroken and guilty. Inder asks his father, Rajinder Lal Parihar, with whom he has had a strained relationship since his conviction, for a piece of land under the tree. However, instead of granting his request, Rajinder responds with hurtful words, leading to a small argument between them. While in the hospital with Saru, Inder confesses that his nanny, Lily, who had raised him as her son, killed his uncle when the uncle tried to force himself upon her. Inder took the blame for the crime. Saru helps Inder value his relationship with his father. Later, Saru dies in Inder's arms, leaving him devastated.

Following the death of Shivaji, news reaches the court of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. His advisers anticipate the collapse of Maratha resistance, while Aurangzeb, though acknowledging the loss of a formidable enemy, orders a celebration. However, leadership has already passed to Sambhaji, Shivaji's son. Burhanpur, a key Mughal administrative and commercial center, faces a sudden Maratha attack. The defenders, unprepared, are overwhelmed by the onslaught. In the midst of battle, Sambhaji falls into a pit where he faces a lion. Overpowering the beast, he kills it with his bare hands. The Marathas seize the Mughal treasury, directly challenging imperial authority.
As reports arrive in Delhi, Aurangzeb realizes that the Maratha resistance remains intact. He initiates a vast military campaign to crush them. Meanwhile, Sambhaji is warmly welcomed home by his wife, Yesubai, while factional intrigue grows within the Maratha court, with conspirators attempting to install Rajaram, Sambhaji's step-brother, as ruler. Aurangzeb's forces advance, and the atrocities committed under his command are briefly noted. Diplomatic negotiations unfold as Mughal prince Mirza Akbar seeks Sambhaji's assistance in rebelling against Aurangzeb. While skeptical, Sambhaji uncovers covert communications between his stepmother, Soyarabai, and the prince. A conspiracy to overthrow him is revealed, and the traitors are executed beneath an elephant's crushing weight. Recognizing the superior numbers of the Mughal army, Sambhaji employs guerrilla tactics. The Deccan's challenging terrain proves disastrous for the Mughals, causing heavy losses.
Aurangzeb, having vowed to remain uncrowned until Sambhaji is defeated, faces increasing difficulty. His daughter, Zinat-un-Nissa, attempts to capture her estranged brother Mirza Akbar, but the Marathas foil the ambush. Internal dissent weakens Sambhaji's ranks as jagirdars (feudal lords) defect to the Mughals, prompting him to convene a royal council. Meanwhile, his disgruntled brothers-in-law betray his location, leading to a Mughal ambush. As many warriors fall, key Maratha leaders Santaji Ghorpade and Dhanaji Jadhav are smuggled out to continue the resistance, while an outnumbered Sambhaji fights until his capture. Taken before Aurangzeb, he refuses to submit. His loyal advisor, Kavi Kalash, is executed soon after. Sambhaji is brutally tortured but does not renounce his ideals. Aurangzeb, facing mounting revolts, offers him a chance to surrender. Sambhaji remains defiant, declaring that the struggle for Swaraj ('self-governance') has spread across the empire.

Aditya Kashyap is the heir to a wealthy but broken family. Depressed by his girlfriend's abandonment, he spontaneously walks out of a company meeting and boards a random train headed out of the city. He meets Geet Dhillon on the train, a vibrant young girl, who refuses to stop talking. Exhausted by her constant chattering, Aditya gets off at a station in the middle of the night, but Geet chases after him. In the attempt to get him back aboard, they both are left behind. Geet blames Aditya for the mess and insists he accompany her to her home in Bhatinda.
Geet's company on the journey shakes Aditya out of his depression. At some point, he starts falling for her, but finds out Geet is planning to elope with her boyfriend, Anshuman. After spending quite a few days with each other, Geet and Aditya finally reach Bhatinda. At Geet's home in Bhatinda, Aditya is treated as Geet's boyfriend. She plays along, as she does not wish her family to set her up with someone else, as Geet's family had already been thinking of getting Geet married to her childhood friend. Finally, one night, Geet leaves her home with Aditya, and they reach Manali, where Anshuman stays. Aditya bids her farewell and returns to Mumbai.
The trip has changed Aditya's life, giving him renewed optimism. He reconciles with his estanged mother, and launches a new product for his company, named after Geet. He thinks, Geet is the one who brought colours to his already finished life, and gradually develops feelings for her. But one fine day, when everything was going good, Aditya is visited by Geet's family at his office, who claim she is missing from home. Aditya returns to Manali, looking for Geet. There, he learns that Anshuman rejected her when she showed up unannounced at his doorstep, as he had no plans of marrying her.
Aditya finds Geet in Shimla, where she has become a school-teacher, leading a quiet life all by herself. Aditya tries to help her regain her positive outlook towards life, but shockingly Anshuman shows up to start afresh with Geet after a miserable period of 9 months. The three travel to Bhatinda, where Geet's family welcomes Aditya as her boyfriend/husband. They plan to marry them in front of relatives and friends, and Geet fails to inform them that she is with Anshuman. Eventually, Geet realises she is in love with Aditya. She kisses him in front of Anshuman, driving the latter away from her life. Geet marries Aditya with their families' blessings.

The film opens by showing a large crowd waiting for Rahul Jaykar, a successful singer and musician whose career is waning because of his alcohol addiction – to perform at a stage show in Goa. After nearly completing a song, he is unexpectedly interrupted by an artist, Aryan, who was losing his career due to Rahul's, during his performance. Rahul fights him, stops his performance, and drives to a local bar. He meets Aarohi Keshav Shirke, a bar singer who idolises Rahul. After noticing Aarohi looking at a photograph of Lata Mangeshkar in the bar, he assumes that she wants to become a singer. Impressed by her simplicity and voice, Rahul promises to transform her into a singing sensation and asks her to never perform again in bars. Due to his assurance, Aarohi leaves her job and returns to Mumbai with Rahul, who convinces record producer Saigal to meet her. When Aarohi calls Rahul, he is attacked and injured by some thugs, and is unable to receive her call. His friend and manager Vivek decides that news of the assault on Rahul should not be leaked to the media, and instead publicises a false story that Rahul has left the country to participate in stage shows. When Aarohi attempts to contact Rahul again, Vivek ignores the calls. After two months of futilely attempting to contact Rahul, a broken Aarohi is forced to sing in bars again because of her family problems.
Meanwhile, Rahul recovers from his injuries and again starts the search for Aarohi. He learns that Aarohi is working in a bar again and that Vivek had ignored her calls without informing him. Rahul apologizes to Aarohi and fires Vivek, and they meet with Saigal for the recording agreement. Rahul begins to train Aarohi, who signs a music contract to sing in films and becomes a successful playback singer. Her family and Rahul are happy, but when people begin to gossip that Rahul is using her as a servant, he relapses into alcohol addiction. Aarohi, who loves Rahul more than her career, comforts him and they end up making love. Despite Aarohi's mother Subhadra's disapproval, Aarohi moves in with Rahul and things go well until Rahul's addiction worsens, causing him to become aggressive and violent.
Aarohi attempts to rehabilitate Rahul, sacrificing her singing career in doing so. After Saigal reminds them about their dream of Aarohi becoming a successful singer, Rahul orders her to focus on her work. During Aarohi's stage show, Rahul meets Kunal Basu, a journalist, backstage, where Kunal accuses him of using Aarohi for pleasure and money. Furious, Rahul beats up Kunal and starts drinking. He ends up in jail, and Aarohi comes to bail him out. Rahul overhears Aarohi telling Saigal that she is going to leave her career for him and is ready to give up her celebrity status because Rahul is more important to her. Rahul understands that he has become a burden in her life, and that leaving her is his only option to save her. The next day, he assures her that he will change his lifestyle, but little is she aware that he actually intends to commit suicide, which he does by jumping off a bridge. His death pains a number of people, including Saigal, who was otherwise insistent, just like Rahul, on Aarohi moving ahead in her career.
Distraught by Rahul's death, Aarohi decides to leave her career but Vivek persuades her to stay. He reminds her that Rahul wanted her to become a successful singer and killed himself as he did not want to be a burden on her and remain an obstacle in the path of her success. Aarohi agrees, and returns to singing. Later, she signs her name as "Aarohi Rahul Jaykar" in a fan's handbook as a tribute to Rahul and her unsung desire to marry him. As it starts raining, she watches the couple who took her autograph sharing a romantic moment under a jacket as she and Rahul had once done.

Tamasha (transl. Spectacle/Drama) is a 2015 Indian coming-of-age romantic drama film written and directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala from his studio, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. It stars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. The film score and soundtrack album were composed by A. R. Rahman, while the lyrics for the songs were written by Irshad Kamil. Tamasha was filmed in the Indian cities of Shimla, Delhi, Gurgaon, and Kolkata, with additional filming in Tokyo and Corsica. The film tells the story of character Ved Vardhan Sahni (played by Kapoor) in three stages–as a 9-year-old child, a 19-year-old adolescent and a 30-year-old adult in a nonlinear narrative.
Tamasha was released on 27 November 2015 to mixed reviews from film critics,[4] who praised the performances of Kapoor and Padukone, but criticized the complexity of the plot. The film grossed ₹136.63 crore worldwide against its budget of ₹87 crore. Despite being an underwhelming commercial success at the time of its release, the film later gained a strong cult following, especially among the youth.[5]
At the 61st Filmfare Awards, Tamasha received 4 nominations, including Best Actor (Kapoor) and Best Music Director (Rahman), winning Best Lyricist (Kamil for "Agar Tum Saath Ho"). At the 2016 Stardust Awards, the film won Best Actress (Padukone).

Panchayat is an Indian Hindi-language comedy drama television series created by The Viral Fever for Amazon Prime Video. Written by Chandan Kumar and directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, the show features Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Sanvikaa, Chandan Roy, Durgesh Kumar, Ashok Pathak, Faisal Malik and Sunita Rajwar. It chronicles the life of an engineering graduate who joins as a panchayat secretary in a remote fictional village of Phulera in Uttar Pradesh due to lack of better job options.
The series was shot in a real panchayat office located in Mahodiya of Sehore district, Madhya Pradesh. Sehore district is 40 km from Bhopal, which is the capital city of Madhya Pradesh. The soundtrack and score of the series were composed by Anurag Saikia, whilst the cinematography and editing were performed by Amitabha Singh and Amit Kulkarni, respectively. This series is Mishra's full-fledged attempt at direction after directing the respective second seasons of Permanent Roommates and Humorously Yours!.
Panchayat premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 3 April 2020. The series received mostly positive response from critics, with the performances of the leading actors, scripting, direction and major technical aspects being praised. Critics also appreciated TVF and its producers for coming up with a rural village setting as compared to the previous projects, which is mostly based on the urban atmosphere. At the inaugural ceremony of Filmfare OTT Awards, the series won all the nominations under the Comedy Series category, except for Best Actress. The series was also nominated for Best Original Story, Screenplay, and Dialogues for Chandan Kumar, although it did not receive a win.
The second season of the series was scheduled to be released on 20 May 2022. However, all the episodes were released two days before the actual release date. In this season, Abhishek is seen taking more interest in village politics and developments alongside preparing for CAT exam.
The series was renewed for a third season. It was originally scheduled to premiere on 15 January 2024 but was postponed. The release date was then set as March 2024, but was again postponed. It premiered on 28 May 2024. This season focuses on the Panchayat elections and the politics surrounding it.
The series was renewed for a fourth season, with an expected release in mid-2026. Principal photography commenced at the end of October 2024.

The king of Ayodhya, Dasharatha is forced by his third wife Kaikeyi, on the basis of a boon promised by himself, to exile prince Rama for 14 years, where Rama, along with his brother Lakshmana and wife Sita, departs from Ayodhya and starts a new life in the forests of Panchavati until Ravana, the demon king of Lanka, abducts Sita in order to retaliate Rama for his sister, Shurpanakha's dishonor. Not finding Sita at the hut where they resided, Rama and Lakshmana set out to rescue Sita and find Jatayu, who tells him about Sita's abduction committed by Ravana. Moving on, they find Hanuman and Sugriva, the king of Kishkindha who leads an army of forest dwelling people called Vanaras, and seek their help. The Vanaras are generally depicted as humanoid apes, or human-like beings. They come to know about Ravana's residence in Lanka by Jatayu's elder brother Sampati. Then, the army of Rama forays towards Lanka, defeats Ravana's army and Rama gets his wife back. In the end, Rama along with his people, returns to Ayodhya where the residents of Ayodhya welcome them festively.

Project X is a 2012 American found footage teen comedy film directed by Nima Nourizadeh, written by Michael Bacall and Matt Drake and produced by Todd Phillips. The film follows three friends—Thomas (Thomas Mann), Costa (Oliver Cooper) and J.B. (Jonathan Daniel Brown)—who attempt to gain popularity by throwing a party, a plan which quickly escalates out of their control. Kirby Bliss Blanton, Dax Flame, Brady Hender, Nick Nervies, Alexis Knapp, and Miles Teller also star.
The title Project X was initially a placeholder for a final title, but interest generated by the secretive title kept it in place. A nationwide open casting call was employed to find fresh faces. The majority of the cast were sourced from this casting call, but a few with prior acting credits, such as Mann, were accepted after multiple auditions. Filming took place on sets in Los Angeles over five weeks on a US$12 million budget. The film is presented as a home movie from the perspective of an attendee using a camera to document the night's events.
Project X was released in the United States on March 2, 2012, and grossed $102 million worldwide during its theatrical run. Criticism focused on the "loathsome" behavior of the lead characters and the disregard for the effects of drug use.[4] Other reviews considered it funny and thrilling, and equated it to a modern incarnation of National Lampoon's Animal House. Following release, incidents of large-scale parties referenced or blamed the film as an inspiration.

On her fiftieth birthday, Elisabeth Sparkle, a once-celebrated but now-faded Hollywood film star, is abruptly dismissed from her long-running aerobics TV show by the producer, Harvey, due to her age. A distraught Elisabeth crashes her car while distracted by a billboard of herself being taken down. At the hospital, a young nurse covertly gives her a flash drive advertising "The Substance", a black market serum that promises a "younger, more beautiful, more perfect" version of oneself.
Elisabeth, intrigued and desperate, orders The Substance and injects the single-use activator serum. She convulses as her body generates a younger version of herself, Sue, who emerges from a slit in her back. The two bodies must switch consciousness every seven days without exception, with the inactive body remaining unconscious and fed intravenously with a weekly food supply. Daily injections of stabilizer fluid, extracted from the original body, are necessary to prevent Sue from deteriorating.
Sue quickly becomes an overnight sensation after auditioning to be Elisabeth's replacement on the TV show and is eventually offered the chance by Harvey to host the network's prestigious New Year's Eve show. While Sue lives a confident and hedonistic life, Elisabeth becomes a self-hating recluse. Nearing the end of one allotted weekly cycle, Sue parties and brings a man home for casual sex, delaying the switch by extracting additional stabilizer fluid, causing Elisabeth's right index finger to suddenly age. Elisabeth contacts the supplier, who warns her that disobeying the switching program leads to irreversible, rapid aging of the original body. Despite their shared consciousness, Elisabeth and Sue begin to view themselves as separate individuals and grow to despise each other. Elisabeth resents Sue for her frequent disregard of the switching schedule, which further exacerbates her aging, while Sue is appalled by Elisabeth's self-loathing and binge-eating. Following a particularly destructive episode as Elisabeth, Sue stockpiles stabilizer fluid and refuses to switch back.
Three months later, the day before the New Year's Eve telecast, Sue runs out of stabilizer fluid and contacts the supplier, who informs her that she must switch back to replenish the fluid. When they switch, Elisabeth finds herself horrifically transformed into an elderly hunchback. Desperate to stop Sue from aging her further, Elisabeth orders a serum designed to terminate her, but, still, craving the admiration that Sue's celebrity status provides, she stops before fully injecting the serum and resuscitates Sue, leaving both of them conscious. Realizing Elisabeth's initial intent to terminate her, Sue beats Elisabeth to death before leaving to host the New Year's special.
Without Elisabeth, Sue's body begins to rapidly deteriorate. In a panic, she attempts to create a new version of herself using the leftover activator serum, despite the single-use warning. This results in the creation of a grotesque mutated body, "Monstro Elisasue", with both Sue and Elisabeth's faces. Wearing a mask cut from a poster of Elisabeth, Elisasue returns to the studio and attempts to host the show but the audience erupts into chaos. An audience member decapitates her, only for an even more mutated head to grow back, and one of her arms to snap off and drench both the audience and studio in torrents of blood. Elisasue flees the studio, but collapses and explodes into viscera. Elisabeth's original face detaches from the gore, crawling onto her neglected star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She smiles as she hallucinates being admired before melting into a puddle of blood, which is cleaned up by a floor scrubber the next day.
