Design layering, lighting, and low-maintenance flooring were the focus of this week’s The HOME Show!

Ashley Hilbish and Mady Perillo, owners of Greer Design Co. and Curtains, Blinds and Bath, joined us to share exciting news about merging their brands. They discussed balancing rustic and modern styles, like pairing ceiling beams with sleek fixtures. The sisters also highlighted current design trends including millwork, wall and ceiling treatments, wood tones, tile accents, and wallpaper. They also invited listeners to the annual Christmas Preview Night fundraiser, benefiting B.A.R.C.C. featuring live pet sketches and photos as special keepsakes.

Chase DeWitt and Ron Lee of Piedmont Floor Show wrapped up the show with their extended Your Next Step segment, spotlighting two popular flooring options from the fall issue of Home magazine. Updates to laminate flooring took center stage as the new favorite for its low maintenance, waterproof design—perfect for bathrooms and pet owners. They also touch on luxury vinyl plank. Carpet remains the top choice for cozy, quiet areas like bedrooms, offering improved stain resistance though it requires careful cleaning (remember to blot, not scrub!).
