This week, we got a legendary guest, Fredro Starr, from the group Onyx in the building, kicking it with the Advocates. As you may already know, Fredro's reach goes beyond being a rapper. He is a well-known actor with many movies and TV shows under his belt. You can now add author to the resume with his life story told in his recent book release titled "BACDAFUCUP" which details his journey as a young kid navigating through the entertainment industry. We are back with part two of our interview with Queens own Lexnyre picking where we left off last week. As always, part one was just a warm-up of what's to come. Cruz Khaos gets into the politics of the culture and the sacrifices one has to make to be seen and heard outside of the local music scene. The segments brought up some great discussions, and of course, we got an exclusive live performance on deck.
This episode was a long time in the making. Cruz Khaos is a Hip-Hop lifer going back to his days as a youth in his home country of El Salvador. He gets into the reach the genre has had throughout the globe and how he first began as a B-boy in the 80s. He is one half of the Latin Hip Hop group Reyes del Bajo Mundo along side his partner Dinamico. Along with being a prolific MC who rhymes Cruz is also a DJ who has been hosting events promoting the underground Latin Hip Hop scene for well over 20 years. His dedication to the culture is as big as anyone we've ever met so it was only right that we invited him up to tell a piece of his story.
For this portion of our interview with Rainey we jump into some more segments like Hip Hop Roulette and Album of the Week deep diving into his diverse music catalog. He even blessed our set with a performance to one of his yet to be released songs that'll be a part of a soon to be titled project he will be dropping.
