The DD Council states on their website that, “the mission of the Developmental Disabilities Council of Oklahoma is to advance communities where everyone has the opportunity to live, learn, work, and play where they choose. The Council builds partnerships to change systems to improve services, resources, and supports for Oklahomans with developmental disabilities and their families.”
They offer programs like Partners in Policy Making, Youth Leadership Forum, and Self-Advocate Training for self-advocates, families, and allies across the state. They help fill gaps through partnerships and proposals from local nonprofits offering ways to help address needs for Oklahomans with Developmental Disabilities. They are also here for you to hear your concerns, ideas, needs, services/programs needed to support you and your loved one with a developmental disability, and more!
