We have a show full of inclusive summer fun for you on Episode 194 of The Hidden Workforce!
Welcome Brenda Brandt, the Camp Director of Camp Barnabas to the show!
Brenda chats with us about her journey through Camp Barnabas- from her brother attending as a camper, her volunteering as a high schooler- then college student- then Camp Barnabas evolving into her career up to this point! We also learn about the groups they serve, the amazing and fun adaptive activities and games they have all throughout camp week, and so much more!
Their website states, “…We want our Campers to have a summer just like everyone else because, for most of the year, our Campers are on the outside. They spend their year adapting and making modifications to their lives and routines in order to function in the world around them. At Camp Barnabas, we want our Campers to feel limitless. We want to create a place where they can feel the freedom to be who they were designed to be...”
We think Camp Barnabas is pretty awesome and we think you will too! Don’t miss this weekend’s radio show- and tune in to the full episode on our podcast when it’s live!
