Weapons (2025) is moving to become Zach Cregger's highest grossing film against the production budget, and for good reason: this movie is solid! Acting, writing, camera work, music, all high quality. John Brolin is showing us what he deserves to be in more serious-minded horror films like this.

Released in 1988 during the peak toy commercialization era Child's Play is a subversion of the nastiest kind. Up until now children's toys were largely kept innocent but writer and director Tom Holland had other ideas.
Child's Play was Tom Holland's second directorial effort after Fright Night (1985) and it was quickly apparent Hollywood had an elite filmmaker in their midst. Child's Play would go on to spawn a franchise very much mirroring the numerous ways our child protagonist (played by Alex Vincent) emulated his favorite toy, and Chucky would stand upon the great icons of horror.
The Activated Man is a horror thriller, written and directed by Nicholas Gyeney that deals with the loss of a pet, something many of us can relate to. Losing a pet can feel like losing a family member which is why the main protagonist endures a spiring descent into madness.

Originally we planned to share our thoughts about Final Destination: Bloodlines, but word spread about famed composer Lalo Schifrin’s passing, so we wanted to touch on that too. Lalo was responsible for a number of iconic works including the theme song to The Amityville Horror and Mission:Impossible. Rest in peace Mr. Schifrin.

Mitch Eason, writer of Chainsaw Angels, talks about his debut comic book which is proving to be an excellent read. Chainsaw Angels follows a popular trend of using the term zombie to categorize his antagonists while twisting the enemy into his own vision, much the same way Danny Boyle did in 28 Days Later. Zombies, but different.

Things fired up with Michael Hargrove, an award-winning actor of the theater who earned the role of Candyman in director Nia DaCosta’s new iteration of Candyman (2021). While initially approaching the role as he did others Michael soon learned the importance of the film with fans of the franchise and his overwhelmingly positive impact on keeping Candyman alive. Next we have Nicholas Walls, author of The Butcher's Tale. Published in 2018 and clocking in at 298 pages, The Butcher's Tale is a highly recommended yarn that encompasses elements of graphic horror, science fiction and a dystopian future reminiscent of Cyberpunk.
