The NFL sees a wild week 8 and the guys can't even get to it all. Ridley seemingly retires. Ruggs seemingly ended his NFL career. Derrick Henry seemingly ended his season. Michael Thomas definitely ended his season. It has always been JT > All. Greg finally concedes...it's Elijah Mitchell time. They touch on all that and more in this week's extra long extra crazy week 8 episode.
The guys talk about their battle for supremacy in what might be the worst week of football we have all year. Then it's onto the arrival of future star Kyle Pitts. They discuss what you want in the Packers offense this week. Hint: it's not COVID. They then fantasize about getting D'Andre Swift on their fantasy teams and then realize it's not possible. Only to realize they also didn't think the Chiefs being this bad was possible. They close giving their takes on which playoff teams are going to find themselves on the out looking in and why it matters for fantasy. Also, Dax gets a new nickname.
Dax and Greg do something they have never done with each other in the past 9 years of their friendship...make a trade in fantasy football. Also, re-record the first half of their podcast. Stuff happens.
Then they take a breather from rosterbating to chat about Robby Anderson. Probably not worth talking about, but still. They deep dive TEs and awesome value plays. Week 3 is in the books and the gents are again just baffled by Matt Nagy. They hop into discussing buy lows and sell highs. Dax and Greg turn to examine the curious case of Jonathan Taylor. They answer what you should be doing with Rashod Bateman. A few things are apparent for them as well. Like death, taxes and Derrick Henry. The Washington...um...whatever they are, look bad and it may be time to abandon ship. They close reviving a season long argument on Trey Sermon.
The gents dive right in this week. They review their buys, sells and what you should go looking for in the bargain bins. Kliff Kingsbury tells Dax to take a hike. Jason Garrett is holding another team back. Kyle Pitts sends the guys home with some glimmer of hope.
The gents review their weekends. Dax sees a gimp in person...in 90 degrees...in a beach town...outside.
Anyway then they review the big news around the league. Young QBs shine brightest in Week 1. Theilen shows he has life. Julio no-shows his debut. The gents bask in their right calls...and wrong ones (naturally). The Bengals look to be everything we thought they were. Greg and Dax are split on the 49ers backfield. It's easy to see what to make of their receivers though. Jeudy is set to miss 4-6 weeks but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Finally they review their top waiver wire pickups and how much FAAB you should use.
With just one week left before kickoff, Dax discusses his love of Croatia after returning from a recent trip. He also accidentally insults Greece. Sorry about that. Greg meanwhile threw a bachelor party for his brother and shared a plane ride with a man just looking for love. Then they start chatting football and they work to make sense of the Sony Michel trade. They talk where to draft "onesies." Dax insists the state of TEs is dire. They debate Jonnu vs. Henry. Wayne Gallman comes to the rescue. Lastly they chat finding fliers at WR.
**The gents took some time away for vacation so these takes, while good, are a bit old. Apparently Dax thought Cam was going to keep the job. Pour some out.

The guys are finally drafting! They kick off the first of many discussions around dynasty strategy and draft outcomes. Dax thinks he absolutely killed his draft thanks to the old "zig when they zag" adage. Greg hates Miles Sanders. Not personally or anything.
