Our co-host, Angel, is officially done with her teenage years!! After celebrating her 20th birthday, we sat to talk through some of the lessons and Scriptures she's been growing in as she steps into this new season of adulthood. We also went on a fun trip down memory lane and shared some exclusive family stories (that we did call our brother and ask for his permission to share).
We're back with another Bible Study episode where, this time, we're deep diving on the call of Gideon and his miraculous victory over the Midianites.
Our challenge for you this week: Think of someone you know who seems to really have a special call or anointing on their life. Much like God called that out of Gideon, even though we have no evidence that Gideon would have seemed or felt like a mighty/valiant warrior, we want you to take some time this week to intentionally call out the light you see in them. You never know, it might just be the God-breathed encouragement they need to step out of fear and hiding and step into God's promises for them.
In our last episode, we discussed the importance of deeply studying the Bible and some approaches to doing so. This time, we put that into practice and wanted to share our thoughts on the story of the man with the shriveled hand.
Reference for the story: Matthew 12:9-14, Mark 3:1-6, and Luke 6:6-11
Challenge for this week: Reflect & Surrender - what is your greatest area of shame? If Jesus were to ask you to "stretch it out", exposing it completely in a public setting without knowing how or why He would use it, would you trust Him enough to do it?
How often do you truly dig deep and study the Word of God? In this episode, we talk about the difference between reading the Bible and studying it, the importance of diving deeper, and what that looks like in practice for both of us.
Happy Birthday, Alyssa!!! Join us for an episode about what she's been reflecting on through this last year of her life, specifically with her recent move to Arizona.
2 quick disclaimers:
1. We actually recorded this conversation back in March so, if you've followed us for a while, you'll notice the timing doesn't quite fit chronologically with our last upload
2. Due to Alyssa traveling and not having her typical recording set up, the audio on this one is pretty "bare bones" and not at our usual standard, but the message is still so good!!!
Join us for a conversation on the beautiful, powerful lessons God has been teaching Alyssa and her friend, Lorena. In this episode, they walk us through a bit of their friendship backstory and then dive into wisdom God's been gifting to them that we feel is important for women and girls everywhere to take to heart.
*Disclaimer: we were both having trouble with our mics, so the audio on this one is a little different*
We're back!!!!... again. Alyssa has officially made her cross-country move and is settled into life in Phoenix, AZ. Meanwhile, Angel has had quite the adventurous kick-off to her summer! In this episode, you'll get to hear a full debrief on what it was Iike for Angel to spend a month exploring Milan.
We're back!!! Join us as we reflect a little on 2024 and step forward in faith for what God has in store for 2025!
This is probably the last topic we ever would have expected to dive into on the podcast but, with it being election season in the US, we wanted to share some thoughts on how to approach political conversations with love, grace, and empathy.
Disappointment and discouragement are SO sneaky! The enemy plants seeds that often times go unnoticed until we hit a season of life where those seeds are watered and begin to produce. We hope this episode gives you some Biblical promises and tangible action steps to help fight or uproot disappointment in your heart.
We also discuss the power that is found in fasting when we do it the right way - the Spirit-filled way. Fasting is hard but, when done to really honor God, it can be so incredibly fruitful. We want God's best for you! Sometimes fasting is the catalyst to help you get there.
Hear all about Angel's college move in process and how she's doing in this new, exciting season of her life!
Round 2 of our Women of Action Bible study! This time we're featuring the sister duo, Mary and Martha to talk about the importance of being fully present in whatever moment God has you step into and not allowing yourself to become pulled in different directions by life's many distractions and possibilities.
Also, guys, we're SO sorry it took so long to get this episode out! THE STRUGGLE WAS REAL! But we hope this blesses even just 1 of you and, as God reveals His deeper truth in your heart, that'll be worth every computer crash and editing frustration to us. His timing is perfect... even if it annoyed us through the process.
There is so much power in prayer and so much to be gained from growing in your prayer life. In this episode, we'll dive into how to flourish in prayer and hear about the incredible event Angel and her friends put on through their church.
We recently got back from an awesome 2 week trip in Europe, exploring parts of Germany, Switzerland, and Spain. This trip was to celebrate my dad's 50th birthday along with him and our brother. In this episode, we'll talk about some highlights, low points, and a few things in between from our time traveling together, including THE RUNNING OF THE BULLS!
**Please forgive us for the audio quality in this one! We made the mistake of going outside and the struggle was so real but if you can push past those momentary distractions, we know God has such a good word for you to hear!**
Join us for a FIRE word on things God's been teaching us about His promises and His presence. Featuring our first *official* guest, Carly!!! #WomenOfAction

You guys!! I get so fired up about the Bible! Let us know if you want to turn this into a series on women of action and significance throughout Scriptures. You can connect with us on Instagram @thegirlswingpod
We are praying for all seniors specifically and anyone in a season where you're making a big decision and/or preparing for a big life transition. God will lead you in every step!
The Bible is alive and active and we wanted to give you guys some insight into how it comes alive to us personally. From who we'd draft on a mission trip/ministry team to some of our top, stand-out stories, we deep dive on God's Word.
We serve the God of the impossible and He chooses to not just invite us into experiencing extraordinary things, but to actually partner with us in bringing those things to pass. He is writing a story through your life that is bigger than you could imagine. Will you let Him expand your vision and trust Him enough to guide you in bringing those ideas, dreams and vision to fruition?
Have you ever experienced a form of loneliness even though you were surrounded by people and are aware that God is always with you? Angel discussed this idea with her small group so we wanted to talk through it here to relate with anyone who has felt the impact of what it means to be set apart from the world for the glory of God.
