In this episode, I invited my dear friend Rachel and her husband Rex to join me on the podcast to discuss the Passover. Within part 1 we chatted a bit about our own journeys, the church today and our experiences as whole bible believers. Rex and Rachel truly have the most tender heart for God and I was so encouraged by this sit-down. For those of you curious about those who have rediscovered the feasts and are on a journey to stay true to The Word, this is certainly not a chat to be missed.
(There were a few issues with audio but they fixed themselves after the first few minutes)
I wanted to talk on something that has been occurring within Christian circles for a little while. My advice is to run from these circles that have you looking down on those who don't know Christ instead be concerned with your own walk, be concerned with sin within the church because a little leaven leavens the whole lump and pray for those who haven't come to know the free gift of salvation
In today's episode we have a little chit chat about the new year, some changes happening within my business and one piece of advice I have for business owners in 2023.
In this episode of The Genesis, we're talking about Canadian academic, best-selling author and political commentator, Dr Jordan B Peterson.
Over the weekend I went to see Jordan Peterson at his last speech for the Beyond Order tour, which concluded in Sydney, and I wanted to share my thoughts on the lecture and Peterson's message as a whole.
DISCLAIMER : In this episode, I make a little reference to right-wing conservatism only because of Peterson's portrayal as a right-wing conservative and my uncertainty as to whether he actually is one. This in no way reflects my own personal political views, only a commentary on the mainstream narrative :)
After a short wee break, I return with episode 3 to chat about my new favourite term - Love at First Like community, the new term I've been using to describe the community I've managed to pivot to whilst transitioning to the Coaching sphere. Building an online business as a small content creator is no joke but in this episode, I briefly chat about my own journey and what roadblocks came about whilst transitioning and exactly how I built the community I'm meant to serve!
One thing that always seems to crop up in the online space amongst business owners is purpose. Everyone seems to be looking to their business as their purpose in life.
In this episode, I have a very casual (rant) chat about this idea, why this is not the right take for believers and have a little spiel on authenticity within the personal branding world and why it's more fruitful to build on a foundation of your core beliefs rather than diluting yourself and taking part in performative business building.
Is it still your purpose even when it's no longer profitable or fulfilling?
It's really easy for Christian business owners to assume that because business is growing in profit that it means we're in the will of God. That's a very mystical view to take and not one I could afford to have gone with. It didn't take me very long to realise that profit wasn't the only thing I needed to be concerned with whilst walking out my business.
In this first episode of The Genesis, I tell my story about building a business that was profitable at the expense of my walk and what I did to reconnect to my true purpose, God's design for me and my work.
