LEXY SLATER - THE CLINICAL NUTRITIONIST
Talk about a WOMAN. We could list everything Tiana Canterbury has done for the Australian Dance community, but we’d be here for an eon. Canterbury is a one-of-a-kind woman who has achieved international and national success in the dance industry. Her work ethic, drive, and realness is infectious and hopefully you can feel that energy from this chat. We sat down with Tiana in one of her studios (check the background sounds of class going on around us!) and spoke to her about her own journey through dance, labels she wants to shed, the politics of dance, networking to build yourself as a brand, unpaid work as a performer, manifestation, and just everything about her MOTHERFUNKIN’ self.
Warning - this episode contains language that some may think is not suitable for little ears!!

This gorgeous, powerhouse duo are taking the Australian dance scene by storm in a completely refreshing way. Rob McLean and Lucy Doherty approach their art and work with their warm heart and soul, there is nothing contrived or fake about their work and approach to their art. We joined Rob and Lucy at their little beach shack and we couldn't have asked for a more genuine setting that reflected their aura (catch the background ambient sounds of waves crashing during the whole interview!) In this chat, we explored their different approach to teaching and dance; their evolution and growth as individuals and as a duo, what they think of the impact social media is having on dance at this point, Lucy’s inspiration to start her own company (One Dance Collective), freestyle in dance, and their own struggles within the industry.

FRACE LUKE MERCADO - BBOY AND FILM MAKER AND THIS PODCAST CO - HOST
Hello friends!
Welcome to a podcast that recognises and appreciates both the individuality and commonality that exists between artists. In this podcast we aim to link you with people, professionals, artists, companies, ideas and tools within the arts and culture community in Australia. Throughout our own individual careers within the performing arts, we’ve befriended and met some incredible people in different artistic fields, (and even people who aren’t in the arts and culture realm but have jobs that support ours), and one day we thought, “wouldn’t it be great if we were more curious about other fields than our own?” You will hear from (and no doubt be inspired by) our various guests; comedians, actors, dancers, choreographers, musicians, technicians, nutritionists, psychologists and the list goes on!
We are having a blast creating this series and welcome you to join us in sparking a little more curiosity and wonder into your life!
Frace and Liz
