As we approach the final game of the 2025 BIG3 season, we get a chance to talk to both sides of the championship matchup. This week we brought on Chicago Triplets’ forward Amir Johnson for the first time and recurring guest in Miami 305’s assistant coach Mark Grey.

In the most competitive season of the BIG3, getting an opportunity on a team hasn’t been easy – especially if you’re a rookie. But with the injury to Detroit Amplifiers co-captain and BIG3 goat Joe Johnson lingering longer than expected, Cameron “Beno” Smith will get his shot starting this weekend in Boston.

Shakur Juiston had arguably one of the WILDEST rookies seasons in the BIG3 in 2024. After being recruited by Trilogy’s Isaiah Briscoe to play in the league, Juiston was ultimately drafted in the second round by the 3 Headed Monsters where he played with the Jeff Teague, Greg Monroe, and Brandon Moss.

Nasir Core being on a different team this summer was not on our bingo card entering the 2025 season. Core, who is the reigning Rookie of the Year and 4th Man of the Year, was expected to be the No. 1 pick to the Miami 305 before Lance Stephenson joined the BIG3.

Isaiah Austin has accomplished just about everything since joining the BIG3 in 2021. Drafted first overall, earned accolades, and won a championship. But when news broke late last year, that he was in the midst of his final season, it’s safe to say it was a bittersweet moment.

The BIG3 Draft is over. Teams are set. And the season is right around the corner.

The BIG3 is having their best season to date due to the competitive play, exciting new players, and new streaming platforms. But there's a case to be made that new Courtside Commentator Rachel DeMita has definitely attributed to that growth. DeMita is in her first season with the BIG3 in a new role and has done a little bit of everything. From sideline reporting to managing streams, the former 2KTV host has thrived in her new role.

Mark Grey’s not only became the assistant coach over the years after starting out as a fan of the team but he’s now one of the more integral members of this franchise. From earning the trust of guys like Michael Cooper, Mario Chalmers, and Michael Beasley to writing scouting reports, Grey has been through the highs and lows of this 3's Company squad.

Dazeran Jones didn’t start playing organized basketball until the 11th grade, yet found a way to the BIG3. Jones, who started his career at NAIA Warner University, turned a one year opportunity into a whole career. Through basketball, he went from working at Pepsi to being in a movie and playing professional basketball.

Chris Allen may be one of the most respected guys in the basketball community. Yet, to the outside eye, his name is one the people have to reach deep into their bag to remember.

Through two weeks of the 2024 BIG3 season, we’ve already seen some wild finishes, surprising upsets, and unexpected faces at the bottom of the standings.

Jaylen Johnson joined the BIG3 at 26-years-old making him one of the youngest players in the league. He quickly showcased why he was the first player drafted in the second-round of the 2023 BIG3 Draft.
