This week at The Film Club we’re talking about Nosferatu the Vampyre! The film follows an estate agent named Jonathan Harker who lives in Wismar, Germany with his wife Lucy. Harker works for a man named Renfield who gives him the assignment to travel to the castle of a nobleman named Count Dracula, who wishes to move to Wismar. Lucy tries to convince Jonathan to stay but he persists with his four week journey to Count Dracula’s castle. On the last leg of his journey Jonathan stops at an Inn to rest and reveals to the owner of the Inn that he’s headed to Count Dracula’s castle, which causes the locals at the Inn to beg for Jonathan to reconsider his plans. Jonathan relents and continues to Dracula’s castle the next morning, meanwhile he has no idea that his wife is having nightmares of impending doom.
