So what is attachment theory? On this episode of Twisted Plot Podcast, Marriage and Family therapist Julie Menanno, also know as the creator behind the Instagram account @thesecurerelationship gives everyone a rundown of  the four attachment styles(anxious, avoidant, secure and disorganized) the pros of Somatic Experiencing Therapy  and how the future of attachment theory might be the biggest plot twist of them all. Julie breaks down attachment theory so well on her instagram account, and has drawn a community of over half a million followers. Julie is such an active participant in her community and her daily posts that help inform her followers continues to prove that we all want to learn more about ourselves, our relationships and how we show up. In this episode she gives great examples of techniques to help those with an insecure attachment style that are trying to gain more regulation to help themselves through those hard times. If you walk away with anything from this episode, I hope it is the understanding that you are not alone, and that there are resources out there to help you in your everyday life.
