The Faria Show
Episode 18 - The Holy Trinity
On Episode 18, I recap three big games from Tuesday’s Matchday 3 action. While highlighting the importance and effectiveness of three players for Barcelona, I pay homage to a hat-trick from fantastic Fermín López. For Newcastle vs Benfica, despite a brace from Barnes it was the brilliance of Anthony Gordon which was crucial, with a Man of the Match performance. Gordon made history as the first Newcastle player with goals in three consecutive Champions League games. The defending champions PSG smashed seven past Leverkusen. Three key contributors are highlighted for PSG, including a brace from Doué the baller. There’s nothing Nuno Mendes can’t do, but a tactical change involving Kvaratskhelia was the difference maker for Les Parisiens.

Episode 4 - Midfield Maestros
Euro 2024 has kicked off and I analyze the first four matches. Enjoy Toni Kroos while you still can, you’re witnessing a master at work. How about Musiala and Wirtz? For Switzerland, it was all about Xhaka conducting the play and a couple of great attacking decisions. Spain were excellent, behind Yamal’s dazzling skills and some midfield brilliance. Italy bounced back from a horrible start, and it was the midfield at the heart of it all. More of these to come - For the love of Euro.
