The Faces of Tomorrow
From Venture Capital to Holistic Health, How to pivot your career! Ft. That Plant Based Gal

In today’s episode I am joined with Meghan Swidler the founder of the social media blog That Plant Based Gal. Meghan started her career as a Cornell university graduate who worked for a hyper growth tech startup in both San Francisco and New York. However, she began to go through her own health journey and wanted to take her own health into her hands. Instead of taking a new job in venture capital back in California in early 2021 after working for a hyper growth tech startup for 5 years, Meghan took a leap to follow her long time passion for health and wellness and turned it into a profession by becoming a Certified Holistic Nutrition Health Coach. Having finally found balance in her own life, she now wants to share what has made (and continues to make) a tremendous impact on her life with others and hopes to partner with individuals in their transformational journeys towards better holistic health and wellness.

She has focused on eating whole plant based foods which is why she decided to create her instagram blog and help others. She focuses her practice on food combining and how that impacts the body. Her goal now is to focus on helping young performing professionals and executives become their absolute best selves in all areas of their lives. We dived deeper on how to make a pivot in ones career path, whether that be upon graduation or post grad. It can be a scary change, however with the proper setup anything you set your mind to can be done! Meghan is proof of this. She knew deep down what she should be doing, therefore she made the decision that was going to change her life. Discover more about how she made these choices and her steps to getting to where she is today!

The Faces of Tomorrow
Psychology Student, Eating Disorder Recovery, Social Media and Body Image ft. Angeliki Trifonopoulos

Today I am joined with Angeliki a Psychology student at Mcgill University. She came to me wanting to share her story about having had an eating disorder and how that has impacted her life to wanting to help others. Her focus has been to rediscover a new way of eating and have a healthy relationship with exercise. She has also focused on healthy habits that she can implement in her life and help others who were in a similar situation to her.

After going through her eating disorder this gave her the passion and desire to help others and study to psychology. She wants to eventually become a clinical therapist to be able to help other women.

We also focused on the importance that social media plays in our lives on a subconscious level. Often, we are left comparing ourselves to those on instagram who may be editing their pictures or filtering them in a way that is unrealistic. This leaves us questioning if we are good enough and how we value ourselves.

If you would like to reach out to Angeliki to talk more with her about her story you can find her:

The Faces of Tomorrow
Diet Culture, Nutritional Health Myths, Author and Media Dietician ft. Abby Langer

Today I am joined with Abby Langer, a Dietician who is passionate about educating others on eating intuitively and enjoying their lives through food. Abby goes beyond just working directly with clients in her own practice, she has also written a book to reach as many people as she can about nutrition. Her book “Good Food Bad Diet” dissects diet culture and analyzes how much diet culture impacts our lives beyond what we realize. She makes macronutrients, micronutrients and overall health easy to understand for anyone who is curious about learning more nutrition related information. Abby is also an avid food blogger and works with various brands for branding and photography of their products.

In this episode, Abby broke down the concept of diet culture as well as common nutritional misconceptions. Abby wants to educate as many people as possible on how focused our society has become on dieting without even knowing it. She also explained what it's really like being so present on social media and what to prepare for if you choose to do the same. Her message was impactful and really resonated with me and her message needs to be spread further.

The Faces of Tomorrow
Debunking Health Myths with Medical and Dentistry Students, Learn About The Behind the Scenes ft. Victoria Sebag & Tatiana Tuccinardi

Today I am with Victoria Sebag a Med student and Tatiana Tuccinardi a Dent Student. I have known Vic since we were 5 years old as we’ve gone to the same school all our lives and Tati I have known through friends since high school. I have seen both these girls grow and flourish over time and as they both are on similar paths I thought it would be fun to have their perspectives in one episode. Since my overall theme in season 2 was health and wellness, I wanted to invite them on my podcast to really focus on the importance of living a healthy life and what you can do to take control of your health from the perspective of a medical and dentistry student.

In this episode, we focused on debunking common health myths from our future dentist and doctor. They gave their opinion and thoughts based on what they have learnt through their time in university. Stay until the end of the episode to learn more about them! Super interesting and an insightful discussion they provided the podcast!

Health Coaching, Naturopathy, What Does Balance Really Mean? ft. Be Well by Jessica

On this episode, I am joined with Jessica Power, a Health Coach and Naturopath. Jessica started her journey in health coaching after dealing with a variety of health issues, and the majority of them were never being rectified by doctors. She decided to take matters into her own hands and start her own wellness journey. She wanted to live her fullest life and knew that the only way that would happen is if she learnt about the root of her issue. Today, her goal is to enable others that were in her situation to feel their best and live healthy and happy lives. She has begun to do so through the community she has created on instagram that she continues to grow daily. Her passion to educate those around her comes through in all her ventures including her organic herbal tea blends that she started.

We focused on the topic of balance. Jessica answered some of the key questions when it comes to the concept of "balance". Is it possible to live a fully balanced life? How does one do this? What are some tips that can help facilitate this? We dive deep into this and had some really interesting conversation surrounding balance.

The Faces of Tomorrow
What makes you fulfilled? Ft. Thalia Joie- Life Coach

In today's episode, I am accompanied by Thalia Joie, a certified life coach as of 2020. She began her journey as a graduate from Mcgill university with a business degree focusing in management! She knew she always loved helping others and was an entrepreneur at heart, which is when her company Study Buddy came to be. This was a tutoring business where she helped young students have the opportunity to excel in school. This had really helped to develop her emotional intelligence and understand how each person requires different support based on their needs. Through developing her skills, she realized she had the potential to help inspire more individuals and be a mentor and coach to those who may be feeling stuck in life and need support. Her ultimate goal is to have those around her and in her community live their best lives and to feel satisfied with their day to day life.

We dived deeper on what makes individuals live a more fulfilled life and Thalia's take on how to get to your zone of excellence. She explains this concept more in-depth during our recording and how anyone can reach that! I highly recommend listening to this episode especially if you need self reflection to reach your highest self. For personalized support, you should reach out to Thalia and book a consultation with her! She is such a fantastic person and is super passionate about what she does!
