
Rochelle Ignacio (she/her) is a safety and inclusion specialist who embeds equity, diversity, and inclusion principles into her professional and community endeavors. She strongly believes in community building, volunteerism, and advocating for equity-deserving individuals and communities.
Rochelle is a social entrepreneur known for putting a spotlight on the Black community. Feed the Soul Dining Week is her latest project which she co-led with Sara Awatta. Feed the Soul Dining Week is a volunteer-led and driven platform that provides marketing, tools, and support to Edmonton’s Black-owned food and beverage industry. The dining week offers an opportunity to introduce Black food culture and history to the wider community.
Rochelle is also a self-taught Arts & Culture producer who dedicates her work to putting a spotlight on the homegrown talent within the community through her Events and Production Management company, Black Owned Makers. She is most often in unseen roles, working tirelessly behind the scenes to support the administrative and operational components of arts and culture programs, festivals, and events.
