A well-know pastor takes 1 Timothy 2:12 out of context and teaches error as a result! This comes from his misinterpretation of 1 Timothy 2:13-14 where he claims to see a "Creation Order." The Apostle Paul instead is pointing to "The Differences" between Adam who sinned on purpose and Eve who did not. Let's look at Chapter Six in the book "Back to Eden. 1 Timothy 2:8-3:16" by Bruce C. E. Fleming.

Only wives submitting?? Not according to the word patterns in Ephesians 5-6!! The words "wives submitting to your husbands" are in Ephesians 5:22. Is this verse teaching vertical submission? No. The full passage teaches this: Christian husbands and wives be mutually submitting yourselves to the teaching and correction you are receiving from one another in the Spirit. All that? Yes. It is in the words and word patterns of the passage of Ephesians 5:15-6:9.
