This week my guest is Julie Vandermaat also known as Jules. 


Jules is a Certified Master EFT Trainer, Mentor and Social Worker who specialises in training other mental health professionals in trauma-focused Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). 

She is highly regarded in the EFT world for approach and her experience. With a background in working as a social worker she specialised in working with sexual trauma and now uses her years of knowledge to teach EFT to others the slow, safe and gentle way.

In this podcast we'll cover:


  • How to approach EFT when you have experienced trauma and sexual trauma
  • How we can use recent and future events to process past experiences
  • What a dysregulated nervous system means and how it can show up
  • How EFT can be an empowering tool 
  • Looking at how EFT can be a fast process but it doesn’t have to be, especially if it’s inappropriate for the person
  • Common limiting beliefs in trauma and how EFT can help to reducing symptoms and triggers and providing relief
