Welcome to The Dysfunctional Podcast. My name is Grace. I’m a 19 year old who loves to talk about a variety of things. And that is the reason I wanted to start a podcast, to talk about whatever I want. Expect nothing organized or planned thoroughly when it comes to this podcast because my brain is thinking about a hundred things at a time. But I’m hoping you guys will enjoy this and want to hear what I have to say.

Today we are going to be talking about a very common tendency that a lot of people have. For me I have had this since I was young, and that is being a people pleaser. I looked up the definition of people pleasing and according to google, a people pleaser is someone who feels a strong urge to please others, even at their own expense. Don’t get me wrong, I think putting others before yourself is an amazing thing. But people pleasing takes that to a whole other scale that can constantly negatively affect someone. Today we are going to talk about what causes people pleasing, what are some negative effects of people pleasing, and I will be giving advice to others that may be struggling with people pleasing.
