Gramscian Marxist deconstruction is dependent upon the social construction of reality. The meaning of a word leads to perception, and a series of perceptions create a narrative. Securing our U.S. Constitutional system requires protecting language and definitions, insisting on an objective reality, and putting forth more attractive, positive narratives about who Americans are and what we want as a vision for the future.

In Episode 7, I discuss the main approaches to the social deconstruction of U.S. political culture. Each approach is in play at this moment. We can stop the trends, but doing so requires openly acknowledging them and choosing a different path.

A significant challenge for interpreting today's political environment stems from the fact there is not a single group with an interest in corroding/deconstructing the U.S. Constitutional system. There are at least four general groups with this common interest, but whose political objectives diverge. With this in mind, it becomes easier to respond to the different lines of attack and build a more effective social movement to improve our country.
