Mental health is a topic that needs to be looked at from different spectrums. Especially because males are required to be strong, not only for themselves but their families and society at large. Is it possible that many of the issues we face in society are caused by the lack of intentional investment in mental health? This is not just for women but also males. To move towards becoming an intentional and healed society, maybe it is high time we had conversations about the areas that are overlooked in society. Just maybe we can make an impact in making this world a better place. Tune as we unpack and talk more about male mental health.
In this episode we will be getting the female perspective on Male Mental Health issues. One of the most important dynamics of creating change, is having all the stakeholders to the problem at hand involved. This is why here at the difference we asked Lesedi Sedio (co-founder of a book club named Chapter Chat) , Veronah Seitshiro (Founder of Broken Cryons Association) and Tsitsi Lebogang Moutswi (Final year Psychology student), to join us in finding the root cause to male mental health issues. Additionally we look at how as females we can positively contribute to the awareness and improvement of Male Mental Health. Enjoy!
Now more than ever it is important to break societal barriers. To allow people to comfortably say 'I am not okay' without feeling out of place and inadequate. In this episode, I will be have a conversation with the founder of Broken Crayons Association on issues pertaining to mental health. We also discuss what mental health is and how her organization assists individuals who have mental health issues to be able to improve their mental state. The aim of this conversation is to start a spark in a persons mind to become more aware of their mental health and the health of those around them. We hope that this will be the start of thought provoking and solution oriented discussions around the topic.
Enjoy!
