God is too faithful that He wouldn’t launch us into our divine assignment prematurely - there’s always a training ground. That’s what we’re discussing today amidst others - the importance of stewarding those training periods.

Funny story: I was thinking about Solomon and how his messy marital situation strengthens my belief that the Bible is God-breathed and just as I wanted to record something about it, I remembered an audio recording from June last year saying the same thing, and I think you might want to hear it too, so here it is…

Many of the promises of God listed in the Bible are conditional. This is not to push us into a legalistic way of life, but it’s to help us understand God’s boundaries.Yes, He loves the whole world but it’s the one who believes that will be saved. Very often we tend to ignore the condition and just pray the blessing but that really has to change…

If you truly think about it, everything, and I mean everything, about the Christian faith is weird. The quicker we can accept the fact that we are not like the world and will never be, the faster we can get to changing the world.

I know how sensitive the topic of grief is. I don’t like to talk about it. I also know what grieving alone can do to someone. In Isaiah 53:3-4 we’re introduced to a man of sorrows, familiar with deepest griefs. Sometime in August while reading that I was led to record this voice note to remind myself in the time of grief that I can never be alone no matter how lonely it is and now I’m putting it here for the one who is grieving a loss or knows someone grieving a loss. I pray your eyes are opened to see El-Roi, the man of sorrows, in the middle.

I used to think being secure and sure of my salvation and eternal destination was some unachievable feat but now I’ve realized that it’s God’s will for me to be confident in my salvation. He wants the same for you too!

good news: we’re back! again! This time let’s talk about the role of works in our salvation because if we’re not saved by our 'good works' then why bother? What’s the point? Why does James say faith without works is dead? Isn’t that a contradiction? Hmmm let’s talk about it!

Grace is not license to sin, if anything it’s license not to sin. God’s stance towards sin hasn’t changed and so the fact that He forgives doesn’t mean we get a go ahead to do whatever we like so yeah, let’s talk about that!

There’s a side of us we’d rather keep to ourselves. The part where we struggle. No one wants to be seen as that person who doesn’t have it all together, but the truth is I don’t. I’m in need of this Jesus that I talk about as much as you. I’m learning now that the reason why I can connect to a lot of the characters in the Bible is because they were vulnerable enough to write down their struggles so I know I’m not alone. So this is me, trying to be obedient to share a recording I made for myself about a struggle of mine & how to deal with it. [I didn’t edit it or plan to say anything I said because that’s what diaries are for after all and that’s what this is supposed to be].
