He is the founder of Viya Home, a Delhi-based design and production studio that offers a range of luxury handcrafted products. Architect Nuru Karim is the Founder of Nudes, a Mumbai-based firm that operates within the realm of architecture, art, and computational design. He received his Masters in Architecture and Urban-ism from the Architectural Association in London in 2006. Prior to helming his own architectural practice, he had worked for Zaha Hadid Architects on a host of institutional projects. Nuru Karim has achieved global critical recognition for his work, as well as several design awards including a nomination for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture. Nuru Karim is also a TEDx speaker and has presented his work and research on national and international platforms.
Pallavi Dean is the founder and creative director of interior design studio Roar. Born in India, raised in Dubai, and working in London for years has lent a unique multicultural influence to Pallavi’s designs. A trained architect and sustainability specialist, Pallavi has won multiple awards across a range of sectors. In 2013, Pallavi launched Pallavi Dean Interiors, which was rebranded as Roar in 2018. Pallavi has been recognised by Global Media as an emerging designer to watch out for, and her work has been profiled in some of the world’s leading international publications.
One of the most influential women in the editorial design landscape, Cindy Allen is the female Editor-In-Chief at Interior Design Magazine, helming the American publication for 20 years now. She has established herself as a force in elevating the design professions importance and exposure, acting as an ambassador and fervent supporter of architects and designers. A self-proclaimed design junkie, she brings an unbridled passion for design that is manifested in 17 print issues each year and a digital platform reaching a global audience of over 8 million. With her direction, Interior Design Magazine is constantly evolving to best celebrate designers and their process.
