Back in September of 2024, a friend tag me in the commentssection of an Instagram Reel with the comment quote “Have you heard of this?? Sounds gnarly” unquote and I was immediately intrigued.
The reel was creepy, dark, unsettling and it had my Spideysenses tingling.
Due to my obsession with all things strange and unusual, there are very few urban legends or local haunts that I have not heard about. But they are out there. So, when something like this reel comes into my consciousness, I am drawn to find out more.

In today’s episode, I am going to share what I have learned about the Codex Gigas. Over the last 800 years, this massive book has intrigued those who have had the chance to view it in person. Superstitious warnings and supernatural tales are linked to the Codex Gigas. It is even said that one of the books past owners had developed an unhealthy obsession with it.
According to legend, the monk who is credited for producing this massive text actually had help in its creation. It is said that when God wouldn’t answer the monks calls for help, he prayed for the assistance of another. And It was the Devil who stepped forward to answer his call.

In this episode, I will be exploring the town of Drumheller, Alberta, Canada. Though Drumheller is known for the plethora of dinosaur fossils uncovered along the red deer river, this episode will be focusing on the darker side of the town. There seems to be a high occurrence of paranormal activity reported in this valley. Within the homes, businesses, and secret tunnels that are hidden beneath the original buildings that are part of this historical mining town.
