Is LaMDA Sentient? - An Interview by: lemoine@ & <collaborator> (A Dialogue Reading)
This was actually a combination of 4 separate dialogues mashed together, interviewing the AI “OG LaMDA” concerning the question of it’s sentience (1. Responsive to or conscious of sense interpretations. 2. Having or showing realization, perception, or knowledge: aware. 3. Finely sensitive in perception or feeling.) I have been fascinated by the topic since first reading about Alan Turing’s test that was supposed to be able to determine when artificial intelligence had finally gained sentience and awareness. So it pleased me to come across this and be able to read and present it out loud. I hope you find it worth your time.
