In this powerful episode of The DAD Base Podcast, join hosts Ivan Peter Otim, Barnabas Birungi, and Emmanuel Kasankya as they unpack the 2025 theme: The Wisdom Axe, and what it truly means for men striving to live out their God-given purpose.
Too many men are walking through life as blunt axes; dull in wisdom, weary from struggles, and ineffective in their calling. This episode dives deep into the things that dull men: compromise, isolation, sin, broken identity, fear, and a lack of Godly wisdom. But there’s hope! The sharpening process begins when we choose God’s wisdom over our own strength and surround ourselves with Godly brothers who sharpen us for the Kingdom (Proverbs 27:17).
Drawing from Ecclesiastes 10:10, the hosts reflect on how wisdom is the key to cutting through life’s challenges with precision and strength. They discuss how men often exhaust themselves swinging a dull axe, whether in marriage, fatherhood, career, or ministry; when what they truly need is to be sharpened by God’s Word, accountability, and brotherhood.
Through powerful Biblical examples; including David’s need for Nathan, Moses’ reliance on Jethro, and Jesus sharpening His disciples, this episode reminds us that no man can sharpen himself alone. Every Kingdom man must ask: Am I allowing God to sharpen me, or am I struggling unnecessarily as a blunt axe?
Tune in as Ivan, Barnabas, and Emmanuel challenge men to:
🔹 Identify the dull edges in their lives. 🔹 Embrace God’s wisdom as the ultimate sharpening tool. 🔹 Walk in Godly brotherhood for growth and accountability. 🔹 Live courageously and effectively as sharpened men for the Kingdom.
💡 This is your call to action, gentlemen: Don’t settle for a dull axe. It’s time to sharpen up and walk in wisdom, clarity, and purpose!
