If you know the history of Article 377, you would know it's not an Indian law. It was introduced in 1860 by British law in the IPC.
Article 377 considered all unnatural sex as a punishable offense including sex between same-sex with consenting adults and sex with animals. These acts were considered acts against nature. It was used by Britishers in their colonization as sodomy was considered a punishable offense.
But in a historic event in 2018, on 6 September 5, -the judge bench unanimously dismissed Section 377 and it de-criminalized same-sex consensual sex, keeping sex against kids and animals a punishable offense.
But before Section 377 was legalized, there were people who were trying to live their life authentically but couldn't. Professor Ramchandra Srinivas Siras gave his whole life to teaching the Marathi language at Aligarh Muslim College. He was well-known for his work, for his teaching skills, and knowledge. He was well-respected but everything changed when two students, disguised as journalists forcefully entered his house and filmed him having consensual sex with another man.
Soon, he was suspended from his job, and he was ridiculed and harassed but he didn't back out from a fight. The fought to live his truth, his authentic self and he fought till his last breath.......

The man got a ticket to Washington DC with the name Dan Cooper. It was a 30-minute flight and was going to be a quick, short flight. The man with a drink in his hand, passed the air hostess a note. When she didn't open the note, he politely told her that it was better she should open the note because he has a bomb in his briefcase. Then followed the most bizarre and mysterious hijack in aviation history.
His demands included 200,000 dollars and four parachutes. Once, he received his demands, the man jumped from the plane with the money and parachutes. With media gives him the identity of D.B Cooper, but the man was never found, alive or dead.
Now, after more than 50 years the question that still haunts people is - Who is D.B Cooper and Where is D.B Cooper?

We finished 30 episodes. Honestly, it feels strange to be into this. I didn't start this podcast with any thought, but during the pandemic, it just became a hobby. I learned how to edit, how to record, how to research, and how to actually run this podcast. I still feel like an imposter because I do feel like it's not enough but as I am doing it more, I might not feel that way.
So, on the 31st episode, I and Aniket discussed all things true crime including its impact on society and how we feel as normal people living in society.

On 11th May 2011, the NCWS came to the Bhattacharya house with an intention of discussing their son's condition and well-being. But soon afterward there was an argument between the husband and wife. The members of the NCWS told Sagarika that they are taking their daughter for a walk so that the couple can calm down. But, the daughter never came back home and soon their son was with NCWS.
Sagarike was declared mentally unfit for having her kids back. And NCWS was awarded custody of the kids till they turn 18. Soon the Indian government was also involved and there were negotiations happening back and forth.
After months and months of crying out loud, the Norway government decided to give the kid's custody back, but only to Arunubhas Bhattacharya, Anurup's brother. The kids were back in India, but the custody battle continued. But this time, it was Sagarika vs The Bhattacharya.

Sagarika lived an ordinary life in Kolkata, West Bengal. But her life changed when she got married and move to Norway with dreams and hopes of a better life for herself. Life for the Bhattacharyas changed when she got pregnant in 2008. Her son was born in 2008 and her daughter in 2010.
Life as a new mom of two very young kids was not easy for Sagarika. Her husband's plate was full of work, language classes, and driving lessons.
At the same time, Abhigyan started showing signs of distress. He would bang his head whenever he would get frustrated. The family would follow Indian traditions to raise the kids at home including feeding them using their hands, sleeping on the same bed with the kids, etc.
Norway Child Welfare Service got complaints about the worrisome relationship between the mother and the son. On May 11, 2011, CWS took away the kids from the Bhattacharya household, and in Nov 2011, the local country committee on Social Affairs ruled in favor of CWS. Soon followed a long emotional battle between Sagarika and Norway, where relationships were lost, secrets were uncovered and lives were changed forever.

Soon after Gretchen Carlson filed the lawsuit against Roger Ailes, he denied the claims. His wife Elizabeth Ailes rallied for her husband's innocence along with other female and male employees at Fox.
Things were quiet for some time, but then woman after woman came forwards telling their stories of how Roger Ailes took advantage of his positions all through the years and how his youngest victim was just 16.
Things were going on for a long time and Fox tried to clean up his act. They made the female employees sign NDA to protect themselves from going to trial.

She heard of these rumors, rumors of him asking girls to twirl in front of him to check their figures, would force himself upon them and offer them better positions if they sleep with him. Few months after she was fired from the company after 11 years of service for no reason. She filed a lawsuit that stated that she was forced to be fired because she rejected the sexual advances of the CEO.
Soon followed a saga of the takedown of one of the most powerful CEO and came forward 20 years of sexual harassment, misconduct, abuse, and toxic work culture.

She was just 15 when she started and by the age of 19, she had done more than 21 films. She became the most celebrated actress of the 90s. Her popularity and stardom made her one of the highest-paid actresses of the 90s when she was 19. But things came to an end when slipped and fell from the balcony of her 5th-floor apartment in Versova, Mumbai.
Her death was ruled as an accident but the conspiracy never stopped brewing. The theories involved death because of intoxication and drugs, suicide, and her husband's alleged connection with the underworld.
In 2007, when the film Om Shanti Om was released, where the lead character was killed in a fire by her director's husband, people brew a conspiracy that is similar to Divya Bharti's death.
It's been 30 years since her death, her legacy has remained alive and so is the conspiracy theory behind her "accidental death."

The video started with Sierra and Aaron cuddling. Aaron said, "Welcome to our Youtube Channel Day 3 after murdering somebody." "Whoa- Don't put that on camera" Sierra laughed and said to the camera.
Daniel Halseth and Elizabeth Halseth had a bitter divorce. Their three kids were through some messy custody battle. It was tough for Sierra and she acted out.
Things got bitter in 2020 when they started arguing again about the custody. In 2021,16-year-old Sierra started 18-year-old Aaron. The couple planned to escape to Los Angeles. But their plan failed when Daniel found out and their plan failed. The parents banned the kids from dating each other.
This pissed both of the kids. And they were so mad that they stabbed Daniel 70 times and further burned his body to cover up the horrible crime. And ran away to live their happily ever after......

Fathers are our superheroes, the strongest person we know. Every time, there's a monster underneath the bed, we ask our father to look underneath for the monster.
But what happened when the father becomes the monster?
He was born to teen parents. He went to jail for burglary, car theft, and forged checks. He married his wife when he was 22 and she was 18. They had 5 kids Elias, Mera, Abigail, Gabriel, and Nahtahn. He found she was cheating on him. He filed for divorce and temporary custody of the five kids. It all went wrong when Nahtahn tampered with the electric socket at the house. This made his father really mad, mad enough that he made the 6-year-old boy do 100 push-ups, sit-ups, and squats, then slapped and spanked him. He send the boy early to bed and when he went to check on him, he was dead. He panicked and strangled all the four other kids aged 1 to age 8.

Documentary filmmakers Bonnie Cohen and Jon Shrek met in the 1990s as graduate students at Stanford University's documentary filmmaking course.
They made documentaries like Inside Guantanamo and Lost Boys of Sudan. One of the most chilling documentaries they created was called Audrey & Daisy featuring the life story and assault aftermath of two young girls- Audrey Pott and Daisy Coleman.
She was new in the town of Maryville and wanted a fresh start with her family. She was a high-school cheerleader who was famous for her sports abilities. She was finally moving on with life. But her life changed completely when she sneaked out one night with her best friend Paige Parkhurst.
Daisy was a survivor of sexual assault, online bullying, and harassment. She depicted her story online and became an advocate for teen survivors of sexual assault. She was working as a tattoo artist and everyone thought she finally got her life back on track.
But the ghost of her past keeps on hunting her and she killed herself at the age of 23. As they say "You never know someone's suffering till they are gone."

She was half Hungarian and half Swedish, born in Sweden. She fell in love with Scotland when she visited it first in 2003 and came back to live in the country again in 2005. She was supposed to go home, back to Sweden for Christmas but the last time she was seen alive was in the CCTV footage of the airport terminal on 3rd December 2005. The only problem, the footage had a lot of loopholes. Her body was found at Prestwick beach on the cold morning of 4th December 2005. She was 30 at the time. Initially, it was declared as a suicide but soon more theories started to come out. There were conspiracies of murder by sexual predators. Another one was that the CIA put a hit on US Journalist Annie Borjesson who was using the alias Kristina Borjesson. It was believed that they ended up killing the Swedish Annie Borjesson and were covering the murder. There was a 3000-signature petition to demand justice for Annie but her files were classified as "Secret" and authorities declared that revealing this would cause harm to the international interest of the country. It became the most expensive airline search in aviation history. It flew from Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia around 12:41 am local on 8th August 2014. Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah and Fariq Abdul Hamid were flying the plane. It disappeared after 94 minutes in the sky. Some believed that the plane was hijacked and flown into a remote island. Another theory was there was a terrorist attack. A story circulated about the fact that it was seized by North Korea. People believed there were aliens involved. some believed Afganisthan was involved. There was a fire in the cockpit theory.
The search lasted for 1,046 days, and there were 200 million dollars spent on the research and it covered an area of 120,000 sq km. The search ended in 2018. A lot of countries were involved but the plane never came back. So what happened to flight MH 370 became one of the most haunting questions in history.

She was supposed to go on a date with Ashton Kutcher. She was 22 and a fashion student in Los Angles. On Feb 21, 2001, she made plans with Kutcher to go to a Grammy Awards party together. He didn't arrive until 11 PM and when he came he knocked on the door, she didn't reply.
He thought she must be mad, so he left. The following day on 22nd Feb, a roommate found her body outside her bedroom with 47 stab wounds in the hallway.
In 2008, another woman woke up in bed with a man straddling her. She was attacked 8 times including wounds in her arms and chest. She fought off the man and ran away. The blood matched with the cold case of 2001 and police arrested a guy named Michael Gargiulo, who got the infamous name "The Hollywood Ripper."

He has written more than 20 books, a few of them about his cannibalistic tendencies and his kill. He wrote restaurant reviews for a Japanese magazine Spa. He was in porn films and featured in the lyrics of the song Too Much Blood by Rolling Stone. He had also been a panelist on television talk shows.
He did an interview with Vice, a US-based media channel called "Interview With A Cannibal" with 19M views.
And it all started when he shot a 25-year-old Dutch student with whom he was studying in Sorbonne with him. He devoured parts of her body cooked or raw. He got shocked when he was on his way to dumb the body.
He never got convicted. He still lives life as a free man. He said that he never wanted to kill and eat human flesh again. But can be trusted?

She was an exceptional journalist known for he works across the world. He called himself an investrepreneur. She wanted to interview him for his private submarine and his project of making a private space shuttle.
On 10th August 2017, two of them board his private submarine Nautilus but on 11th August only the investrepreneur returned alive with no sign of the journalist.
On asking about her whereabouts, he said that he had already dropped her before the submarine boarded on the shore. He was alone in the submarine. But a few days later, a cyclist found a female torso washed up on the shore of the Southwest of Amager.
So what happened in the Nautilus that lead to the murder of the Journalist Kim Wall by the investrepreneur Peter Madsen on 10th August 2017.

It all started with a Twitter feud between two women on 16th January. She blamed the other woman for being an ISI agent who is having an affair with her husband. She was a successful businesswoman, a public figure, and a socialite, and was married to a reputed politician.
She grew up in a military family, was incredibly beautiful, and had amazing network skills. She hosted really lavish parties and was a well-known name in the industry of event planning in Dubai. She met her politician husband at one such party. He was married but smitten by her which cost him his second marriage.
The Twitter feud ended when the tweets were taken down. The world slept on, only to wake up and find out on 17th January 2014 that she was dead, under suspicious conditions.
So was her death a case of accidental death or something more sinister was going on behind the curtains?

He was a shy kid. Very docile, well-behaved. He didn't like school and got intrigued by two boys who committed a horrible mass school shooting in 1999.
There were signs, so many signs. Sign people saw and sign people wanted to act. There were a lot of people who tried to help him, but his mental health got deteriorated as days goes by.
There were debates on gun control, casual approaches toward mental health claims, lack of security, and whatnot. But who was to blame here? And why did he do it? Because he was a victim of bullying or he wanted to establish his manifesto using extreme violence.
