God wants us to obey Him and to speak according to His Word. If obedience to that principle makes people hate us or gets us thrown in jail or even killed, we are not to back down. God wants us to speak the truth boldly (Ephesians 6:20), but He never promises that we will always be free to speak without consequences. DelmarvaStudios.net

This world is going to hate you. Don’t be surprised when they come against you simply because you follow Christ. If they hated Jesus, they’re going to hate you too. But their hatred will never be able to take away your life, not really. And so, as you think and pray for these enemies, pray that God’s justice will eventually be upheld. But pray too for mercy, that these enemies would eventually share in the same joys as you in heaven. Amen. DelmarvaStudios.net

Summary: The presidential election has repeatedly brought division in many countries. It has ruined friendship, family members stop talking with each other because they disagree on which candidate they should vote. Sadly, that also happened at church and created tension among the people of God. What a shame! DelmarvaStudios.net

We needs to rely on one another, Sometimes congregations forget that. As Ecclesiastes reminds us - we’re in this together, and when we’re together - we have others around us to help us, to keep us warm, to protect us, and to keep us from being broken down by the hardships of life. I think that we all understand what temptation is. There is a story told about a little boy in a grocery store that I think illustrates the nature of temptation. The boy was standing near an open box of peanut butter cookies. “Now then, young man,” said the grocer as he approached the young man. “What are you up to?” “Nothing,” replied the boy: “Nothing.” “Well it looks to me like you were trying to take a cookie.” “You’re wrong, mister, I’m trying not to!” That’s temptation!
