Welcome back to another episode of The Clapper Report!
- The boys get off to a rocky start as they lose their entire first recording due to technical issues and have to re record after an already explosive debate and of course some brews.. as always you get to hear what beers were drinking plus our favorite hardcore song of that week.
- Thing quickly move on to the World Junior's and more importantly Aatu Raty and his impressive play so far in the tournament and his possibilities of stealing a roster spot as early as this season!
- Discussions then go into the Islanders and the alleged signing of Nazem Kadri for $7 Million for 7 Year contract... we discuss the implications it may have as well as some of the ideas of how the Islanders forward lines can potentially look.
- We talk about JT Miller and his ability to shape the future of the Canucks organization, one way into a more younger but with a very high potential upside, or just more of the same cap constraints for the foreseeable future.
- This eventually leads up to the great debate of the evening, Justin stands behind JT miller and his potential to bring in plenty of assets and still be a top performing forward after this trade, versus both Nazem Kadri, and a surprising name in the mix Jean-Gabriel Pageau.
- We wrap things up quickly discussing the New York Rangers decision to name Jaccob Trouba as their 28th team captain in their storied history. A quick glance of their cap situation for the next couple seasons is believe to be the difference maker on that promotion.
