A child with a mental illness or special needs is one of the most heartbreaking realities in parenting. It also puts huge strain on the family and on the marriage. For example, some studies find that the divorce rate among couples who have a child with Autism might be as high as 80% (https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/a-better-divorce/202302/divorce-and-special-needs-children).
Today on The Christian Marriage Podcast, I talk to a Phil and Linda who walked this tough road and found a way to cling to Jesus and to each other.
QUESTION FOR YOU: If you have ever gone through a long season of hardship, (ex: a spouse or child with a mental illness, chronic pain, etc.) what were some of the life-lines that helped you through?
