This week Eddie has returned from the mountains, where he produced a performance that has inspired him to consider a major equipment change. There is also mulling over the Atlantic imbalance, whereby those who lose their cards on the PGA Tour have the opportunities to play some often terrible golf on the DP World Tour.
Of course the European Ryder Cup team gets a mention and we hear from captain Luke Donald about his selection, where he has done little more than swapping Danish twins. All three decide it's probably best that Luke didn't go rogue and pick Peter Odemwingie.

And lo, did Tommy Fleetwood smite all of those unbelievers before him, winning the Tour Championship and with it ten million dollars. Andrew Eddie and Iain convene to discuss that, as well as Ryder Cup team selection, Eddie's new found peace at the Belfry (despite a missed cut), which golfer had his waxwork repurposed and news of some very disturbing breakfast choices. All that plus more in a bumper edition of the pod. Which is our way of putting a positive spin on the fact that this episode is just too long really. Apologies.

We are reduced to only two members of the TCF team and - whoever they may be - are left to discuss all the usual goings on in this crazy game we call golf. Scottie Scheffler's won a tournament, which is nice, and we wonder which will earn him more money this season - the prize money or the bonuses? And why do you need both?
A more pertinent debate comes with discussing who might fill the two realistic places available for Europe's Ryder Cup team. Is Harry Hall in the frame to become the first Cornishman to play in the match? Will Marco Penge's late run be enough or are DP World Tour events just too minor? Is the late Dame Thora Hird a decent outside bet?
There is also plenty of chat about LIV Golf; Jon Rahm takes the season bonus despite not winning a tournament, while one of Europe's finest ever golfers is left to contemplate sailing off into the sunset.

In an endearingly self-deprecating description of this episode we would say that it's about twenty minutes longer than it needs to be. But there really is a lot to talk about with Eddie entertaining us all at Trump International and finding a top-10 finish on the main tour again. Yet even in finding form he still flirts with the darkness and is starting to cause some concern to Andrew, Iain and his many TCF followers / stalkers. There is also plenty of discussion of Tommy Fleetwood once again coming up short in Memphis and what he can change to get over the line. And there is no end of admiration for Justin Rose and his play-off win, with Iain suggesting there really is little that Rose can't do.

Well, not really, it just felt like it to Eddie as he continued to beat himself up on the golf course despite a decent showing on the HotelPlanner Tour. The trio talk about his behaviour and form as well as the success of the AIG Women's Open at Royal Porthcawl where Japan took another women's major - this time through Miyu Yamashita - and Charley Hull provided most of the entertainment as well as a blunt assessment of a Welsh culinary delicacy.

This week we celebrate the arrival of a new star in golf in Lottie Woad after her oh-so-impressive victory on her professional debut at the Women's Scottish Open. The trio also celebrate Eddie's safe return from Ibiza where TCF's touring pro survived backflips and a moderately fast boating expedition under the watchful eye of safety officer Laurie Canter. The trio look ahead to the AIG Women's Open at Porthcawl as well as Eddie's return to competition and question whether Andrew really does have a putting handicap of +5.1 or whether he just has aides knocking the ball into the hole for him. Allegedly.

Eddie returns to the pod with a report on his recent tournament in Germany, his general health and his plans for the weeks ahead. He also brings his particular brand of thinking to an analysis of Scottie Scheffler's triumph at Portrush as well as the personality and motivation of the world number one with iain and Andrew wondering if he is actually good for the game. Scheffler, that is, not Eddie. We know he's good for it.

Friday night at The Open Championship and is this the time for Scottie Scheffler to claim the Claret Jug and his fourth major? Or can Matt Fitzpatrick add the Open to his US Open triumph? Or perhaps Brian Harman will do it again? And will Eddie notch up another top-10 in Germany in his comeback from injury? These and so many other questions are not really answered here as Andrew, Iain and - in some small way - Eddie combine to chat at the halfway stage of The Open Championship.

Here we are then - Monday of Open Championship and Iain and Andrew are together (two desks apart) in the media centre at Portrush, while Eddie joins from the highest point of his house to look ahead to the greatest golf tournament of them all. First, though, there are reflections on a wondrous finish to the Evian Championship and another stellar performance from Lottie Woad, which is likely to be her last as an amateur. We round up the Scottish Open and consider the form shown by various leading lights and we hear from Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry ahead of the big show.

Once more it's a Wimbledon / golf episode with assorted diversions thrown in as the trio try to fit in a golf podcast around their various diary challenges. Iain is heading off to Edinburgh for the Scottish Open, Andrew is still at Wimbledon and Eddie is embarking on a new career as a yoga instructor. There's an update on his back issues, a look back at some of the stories from Open final qualifying and more than a word or two of praise for Lottie Woad after her dominant victory in Ireland.

A sore one, in every way possible. Eddie is back in the UK after the final day withdrawal while holding the lead in the Challenge Tour event in France. He explains why playing well might be the cause of his ailment and how he can fix it all going forward. Iain is at least able to report one victory for the TCF team while Andrew regrets parking under a tree.

Many tales from different types of touring this week as Eddie takes us through his return to competitive golf, Iain explains why he won't be returning to Frisco and Andrew bemoans crime levels in Hammersmith. In more obviously golf-related matters, the three discuss another near miss for Tommy Fleetwood and wonder how he can start to close out tournaments. They also chat about a third major for Minjee Lee and Iain comes up with possible solutions to a couple of potential problems with the womens' game.

This episode has been a US Open-style challenge. And we have shot somewhere in the mid-70s, only hoping to make up some ground on the field in episodes to come. Iain is in Oakmont, Eddie drops in briefly from France (at which point Laurie Canter also gives us his thoughts on his first US Open) and Andrew joins from semi-consciousness at about 2 in the morning. Iain and Andrew give the full review of JJ Spaun's remarkable victory, Bob McIntrye's near miss and they all chat about Rory and what lies ahead for him this year.

We'll let you decide which is which...
The US Open is here and before Iain heads to Oakmont he joins Andrew and Eddie to pick over the bones of last weekend's golf, with Ryan Fox winning in Canada, Connor Syme getting his first DP World Tour win in The Netherlands and Graeme McDowell collecting comfortably the biggest prize cheque of his career. They also manage to wander through the formative history of Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania, chat about the worrying dip in form for Rory McIlroy and pick their favourites for the third men's major of the season.

A clickbait title for you on another long episode, which we might stop apologising for - there’s no obligation to listen to all of it. In fact it’s simply a necessary length to cover Maja Stark’s debut major win at the US Women’s Open, while also asking if the consistency of excellence from Scottie Scheffler means that he might have a Tiger-like career. This and much more full-on golf chat is the meat in the middle of a rambling sandwich where we also touch upon Andrew’s TV quiz behaviour, Iain’s squirrel vaseline and Eddie’s inability to perform a basic bodily function.

In a disturbingly long episode, Eddie tells us about his new training and practise regime, while Iain and Andrew assess the performance of Ernie Els and Retief Goosen in the Oval Office. They also reflect on last week's tournaments and look ahead to the US Women's Open at Erin Hills before considering the British talent on show in the NCAAs. The pod then finishes in dramatic style as Iain tells a story about hitting a bunker shot.

An episode reflecting on a third major title for Scottie Scheffler and one which was many hours in the making do to overwhelming technical incompetence. Andrew and Iain kick things off from either side of the Atlantic as they look at Scheffler's composure under pressure to win the US PGA, as well as remarking upon the contrast between the eloquence of Jon Rahm in describing his near-miss and the refusal of Rory McIlroy to speak to the media after his frustrating week. Eddie then joins and an hour later after after an hour of recording some podcast gold, they start again as our wandering Tour pro realises that he hasn't pressed record.
At the second time of asking they explain why an illegal driver is not nearly as dramatic as the internet has suggested, wonder what has happened to Brooks Koepka, heap more praise on Mimi Rhodes and ask Eddie when we can expect to see him back on the golf course.
