The Carpenter’s Daughter
Episode Eleven: Anxiety
In this episode, we explore the connection between anxiety and the emotions we often suppress. Sometimes anxiety is not random, and it’s not a failure of faith. Sometimes it’s your heart asking to be heard. I share a personal moment when I asked God where my anxiety was coming from, and the answer led me into deeper healing.   Instagram: @thecarpentersdaughterpodcast

Episode Ten: Anger
You know, this has been a season where I’ve had to face anger in ways I never have before. Not just surface-level frustration — but deep, soul-level anger that comes when you’ve been wronged, misunderstood, or treated unjustly. Anger has a way of gripping us — it tells us that if we hold on to it, somehow justice will come. But the truth is, it starts to hold us. It clouds our peace, our relationships, and even how we hear God. What I’ve learned is that God doesn’t shame us for our anger — He invites us to bring it to Him. Not to deny it, but to surrender it. Because when we do, He replaces it with something far more powerful than revenge or justification — He gives us freedom. So today, as you listen, I want to invite you to ask: “What am I still carrying that God is asking me to release?” And as we pray together, let’s ask Him to meet us in that space — not to erase what happened, but to restore what’s been broken inside us.

Episode Nine: Disappointment
Disappointment is something we all face—whether in relationships, unanswered prayers, or unmet expectations. In this episode, I share a personal story of disappointment and how God gently reminded me of His faithfulness even when things didn’t look like I imagined. Through Scripture, reflection, and prayer, we’ll explore: Why disappointment is so hard to process How to bring our honest feelings to God Biblical hope that carries us through unmet expectations This is a space to pause, be honest before the Lord, and invite Him into the places where you’ve felt let down. Take a moment with me to reflect, pray, and trust that God is still writing a good story with your life.

Episode Six: A Mid-Year Review
In this episode, we pause for a midyear spiritual check-in with the Lord, using the Israelites’ journey through the desert as our guide. Just as God led His people step by step toward the Promised Land, He invites us to reflect on where we’ve been, where He’s leading, and how we can walk forward in faith.Questions Asked for Follow Along: 1. Is there anything you are still in bondage too? An Egypt in your life? Look over the past six years and ask Holy Spirit to reveal any chains that might still be present. 2. Take a moment and thank God for fighting for you. Then sit in His presence and the stillness with Him.3. What are the obstacles you have faced over the past six months? Take a moment and thank of God for His presence in the midst of the obstacles. Or maybe you didn't see Him and you need to ask Him where He was in the midst of it. 4. Look back and ask yourself, are there any disappointments in the past six months you need to give to God? 5. What "onions" do you have in your life? What area's of comfort are in your life that you need to let go of?6. What needs, big and small, do you have? Tell God these needs? 7. Focus on the present. Is there anything the Lord has asked of you that you haven't been obedient to? Take a moment and repent. And make a plan after this on how you can be obedient. 8. Now, lets look forward. What are the thoughts and feelings as you look to the future? Talk to the Lord about that feeling. 9. Lets look together to the Lord. Commit to trusting God in the next half of the year. Is there anything you want us to know or do, in light of the future?

Episode Five: Condemnation
Have you ever found yourself trapped in a cycle of condemning thoughts—ones that whisper you're not enough, that you’ve messed up too badly, or that God must be disappointed in you? This episode is for you. We’re talking about the difference between the voice of condemnation and the voice of God’s truth. Condemnation shames and isolates, but the Holy Spirit convicts with hope and draws us closer. We’ll unpack how Scripture tells us we are clean, forgiven, and precious in His sight, even in our weakness. Let this episode be a moment of exchange—trading guilt for grace, heaviness for hope, and fear for the Father's love. We’ll also lead you in a time of prayer to invite God to speak His truth over the places where condemnation has taken root.   Questions Asked: 1. what are the specific lies that my inner critic is saying against me? Holy Spirit, please bring up all lies, so I can take them captive.2. Holy Spirit, what truth do you want to apply to this lie? 3. Lord, have I been holding condemnation towards someone else? If so, please reveal to me who that is.4. Ask for forgiveness for bringing your condemnation. And I want you to pray for that specific person.

A Reading of Romans 8:1-17
I think it is beautiful that the themes of being a child of God and condemnation are so interwoven in this scripture because it is true! We live in the fullness of our identity when we live free from condemnation.

Episode Four: A Child of God
This is, in some ways, a simple lesson but has profound impact on every area of our lives. God is teaching me this very lesson now! Questions asked:  In what areas of my life am I trying to be the parent instead of the child? Which of the “Big Five False Needs” am I chasing today? What would it look like to rest like a weaned child in God’s arms? What part of my life do I need to turn, like a sunflower, toward the light of His presence? Can I let go of doing, and just be with Him for a moment?

Episode Three: Jealousy
Jealousy is subtle, sneaky—and toxic. In this episode, we dive into how jealousy can quietly take root in our hearts, poisoning our joy, distorting our view of others, and leaving us spiritually and emotionally drained. I open up about my personal struggle with jealousy and how God, in His mercy, began to heal me through Scripture, prayer, and a deeper trust in His provision. Whether you're silently struggling with comparison or trying to heal from bitterness, this episode invites you into honesty, healing, and freedom through the power of God’s Word. Questions: 1. God, where is jealousy taking root in my heart?2. What is the root of my jealousy? It is fear, insecurity, pride, or something else?3. What am I truly desiring or longing for when I feel jealous? 4. Am I trusting you to provide everything I need? and if not, show me what that looks like? 5. How can I celebrate the success and blessings of others, Lord, instead of feeling threatened or envious? How do I respond to this today?6. What truth from Your Word can I hold onto when jealousy creeps in?7. What do I need to surrender to You, God, in order to be free from jealousy?8. Lord, Today, What does true peace and contentment in You look like for me, God?

The Carpenter’s Daughter
A Reading of Psalm 23 TPT
Psalm 23 can be a powerful tool for meditating on the truth of who God is and how we can trust Him.  Meditative Questions Based on Psalm 23:  Verse 1: "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want."  Question:What does it mean for me to understand that God is my shepherd? Do I recognize and trust in his guidance and provision in my life? Reflection:Consider the role of a shepherd in caring for their flock. How does this image help you envision God's care for you? Verse 2: "He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters."  Question:Where am I experiencing God's provision and rest in my life? In what areas do I need to be led towards stillness and refreshment? Reflection:Think about places where you find peace and renewal. How does this connect to the idea of green pastures and still waters? Verse 3: "He restores my soul; He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake."  Question:What aspects of my soul need restoration? How can I actively seek righteousness in my actions and decisions? Reflection:Consider the significance of walking in righteousness. How can you apply this principle to your daily life? Verse 4: "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."  Question:What challenges and difficulties am I currently facing that feel like "the shadow of death"? How can I find comfort in God's presence during these times? Reflection:Think about the symbolism of the rod and staff. How can you find strength and reassurance in God's guidance? Verse 5: "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows."  Question:How can I recognize and appreciate God's provision and abundance in my life, even in the face of adversity? Reflection:Reflect on times when you've experienced God's provision and favor. How can you cultivate gratitude and joy in your heart? Verse 6: "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."  Question:How can I live a life that reflects God's goodness and mercy towards others? How can I fully embrace the promise of dwelling in the house of the Lord? Reflection:Think about the concept of eternal life. How can you prepare yourself for the future? Using Psalm 23 for Meditation: Create a Quiet Space: Find a peaceful environment where you can focus on the psalm without distractions. Read Slowly: Read each verse slowly and deliberately, allowing the words to sink into your heart. Reflect on the Images: Pay attention to the imagery and metaphors in the psalm. What do they evoke in your mind? Personalize the Questions: Ask yourself the questions above and personalize them to your own experiences and circumstances. Pray and Converse: Engage in a conversation with God, sharing your thoughts and feelings. Apply the Truth: Consider how the truths in the psalm can be applied to your daily life. Practice Regularly: Make meditation a regular practice to deepen your relationship with God. Allow for Silence: After you've read the psalm and considered the questions, take some time to simply sit in silence, allowing God's presence to fill you.

Episode Two: Trust
What do you do when the Lord exposes that you don't really trust Him? It's hard to admit that I realized I don't trust the Lord of the Universe but it's what I have been walking through this past year. Listen and work through these questions with Jesus!1. Holy Spirit, are there hidden things, in my heart, you want to reveal to me? Hidden things that are hindering my trust in you. 2. Is there an area of anxiety in your life right now? How does God want you to respond? 3. Open your hands to release this anxiety. What does He want to replace this anxiety with?
