A lover of both spicy romances and learning in all forms, UK-based author and editor Elouise East joins me this week in the Blanket Fort. She's proud of her ability to create emotionally complex characters from all walks of life, and puts a lot of energy into making them real and relatable before handing them the keys to the plot and letting them drive!
We had fun geeking out over books and writing, talking about typo gremlins and favorite words, and even chatted about the one bit of writing advice so many people love to hate. Remember to check out the blog for links and goodies!
In this week's very special ADHD episode of the Blanket Fort, I'm joined by fellow fannish nerd Charlie Novak. Charlie is a dog parent, a word wrangler, and a proud nerd. They live in England with their husband, and she loves fluffy romance, steamy sexy scenes and is a firm believer in happy ever afters!
We had so much fun talk about being bookish kids, but also the sheer joy in getting to embrace the things we love (including TV shows, role playing games, and fan fiction) as adults. Also the difference between writing fanfic and original fiction. And there were definitely a lot of conversational side quests, too. It's a neurospicy thing.
This episode of the Blanket Fort features author, competitive ballroom dancer, and fellow English nerd Drea Roman! We had a blast geeking out about story crafting, where we find our inspirations, and the agony of being slow writers. Join us as we talk about cookie tin sewing kits and reader expectations, the Black Panthers, and the creepy little Christmas ornament she sent me last year!
Make sure to check out the blog for links to all the books we mention and more, too. Soooo many awesome books this week, y'all.
Dog dad and secret cabaret performer, Shane Morton has published over 30 books including, but not limited to, his Point Pleasant holiday series and his dangerously delightful drag queen detective books
He's also one of my favorite people to hang out with online and have drinks. And while there were no adult beverages had during this episode, we still had a wild time. And maybe made plans to do a tipsy episode some time in the near future (would you want that? Let me know in the comments!)
In the meantime, join me and Shane as we talk about tarot, co-writing, and how Shane found out about NaNoWriMo!
Want the links to all the books we talk about? Make sure to check out the blog!
This week, despite my internet connection working against us when we met up, I've got mpreg author Trisha Linde in the Blanket Fort. Trisha Linde spends all her time immersed in books, both reading and writing, mainly because she lives where it's too cold to do anything else, and what better way to keep warm than with a hot book. The first time she read mpreg, it was love at first sight, and there's no turning back now.
We had a blast hanging out, talking about writing, why fairytales are NOT for kids, and the delicate balance of keeping up productivity while trying to remember to give ourselves grace. We also had a random detour into fandom, being a fangirl, and how I accidentally discovered smutty slash fanfic (Joe/Methos and Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan FOREVER, yo).
Want the links to the books and the video of Liz's one brush with fame? Check out the blog post!
Author Allison Temple joins me this week in the Blanket Fort. Allison is a trivia nerd, an animal lover, and author of both MM and FF romance. This week, we talk about her newest release, Destination Bedding (part of the Summit Springs lesbian shared world), her sapphic pirates, and a whole bunch of random things no one ever thinks about when they become a writer. We also talk movies, the weather, and what the truest dog breed in the world looks like.
Be sure to check out the blog for all the links to all the books and movies we talk about!
Joining us this week in the Blanket Fort is best selling author Pandora Pine. She has eighty-five paranormal and contemporary titles and counting under her belt. In her spare time, Pandora is an amateur nature photographer, true crime afficionado, and a professional chocolate connoisseur.
Join us as we talk about her FF debut, Baby Yoda, and the awesome adventure that is writing in a shared world, and make sure to check out the blog for links to all her socials and her upcoming releases!
For the inaugural episode of the Blanket Fort, I'm joined by my girl, Giovanna Reaves. Gia's an anime nerd, a soap maker, and a dreamer who never gives up on happy endings. She's been my friend for several years now, and when I decided to finally do the podcast, it was a no-brainer to have her on as soon as possible.
Join us as we talk about her new release, His Magical Touch, her hobbies and dreams... and which Disney characters she'd bang.
Speaking of... who the heck ARE those dudes? Check out our blog or our Facebook page. Maybe you can identify them!
Hi friends. Elizabeth Silver here. Author, editor, lover of random conversations. During quarantine, I decided to do all the fun things I’d never had the time to properly enjoy. I learned how to cut and color my own hair, do some truly ugly manicures, and even took up Spanish lessons. But my favorite thing, it turns out? Building a blanket fort and video chatting my friends.
Now I’m doing a brand new podcast, right from the heart of my blanket fort, and you’re invited to join me while I hang out with some of the coolest folks in the LGBTQ+ Romance community. We’ll have authors, artists, editors and more—all people who help make our corner of the romance world the awesome place it is.
So grab your PJs, your cocoa, and your coziest blanket and join us here in the Blanket Fort. New episodes every Wednesday!
