Since the age of 3 years old I have shown my personality through pageantry. From humble beginnings in St.Matthews, South Carolina competing in the Miss Black Calhoun Little Miss pageant to my 2 year reign as Ms Black Peach State International Ambassador - this “hobby” has weaved itself into my life and really defined who I am as a woman in this world.
In 2021, I was a member of the "32 Stuck in Customs" of the MBIA Pageant that took the pageant world by storm.
Today we take down the long awaited “sticky note” of my time as the Miss Peach State contestant of the MBIA brand.
Cue the spotlight please.

Let the record show, I've been in a night of season.
2 weeks ago, I felt a little shine through the darkness and I've been running after it ever since. I needed something!
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I am immensely thankful for the support of my podcast and the listenership. I am also thankful that in a season where I would rather bury my hand in the sand and quietly walk through the valleys of God in silence, He won't let me this time. I am thankful for that.
The spark fueled me with inspiration and I'm happy to create these episodes in full vulnerability.
I'm not out of the night just yet, but I see the dawn and I have joy. Tomorrow is coming, and I luh tomorrow.
XOXO,
Autumn-Dawn
S5E2: UMM, God, I’m Mad.
In today’s episode of the podcast I give a little insight into where this new burst of inspiration has come from.
My “Full Circle” moment last week was the first thing in a long time that WORKED. To quote myself from this episode, “everything I’ve touched lately goes to shit!”.
Your girl has completely felt off her game lately and taking the biggest L’s. In the spirit of vulnerability, I shared a little of what 2022 has looked like for me. As a woman of faith, I speak candidly about processing this feeling of being angry with God and feeling like I am missing his direction in my life.
I’m not out of the woods just yet, however I wanted to share this uncomfortable place for hope for myself & others. Connect with me on social and let me know if you could relate to this week’s episode. Alsoooooo, find a few affirmations and bible scriptures below.
XOXO,
Autumn-Dawn
Affirmations/Scripture for the Week
John 14:27TPT: “ I leave the gift of peace with you - my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts - instead, be courageous!
John 11:40NIV: Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
Galatians 5:1MSG: Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you.
Romans 5:3-4NIV: Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perserverance, character; and character, hope.
Psalms 37:5TPT: Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way, you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly.

This week’s Bible Verse: Ephesians 2:22 (CEB)
In as little as 3 months - God shifted my mind and life drastically. That wouldn’t have been possible without taking the time to silence life and focus on me and Him.
Today, we take a breather and revisit some of the places that I had to surrender in order for God to do his will.

Imagine coming into a promotion and asset you've been praying for emotionally feeling like, "Wow, two women of color have "failed" in order for me to be here today!"
Today's episode goes through the emotional journey I embarked on in a season of promotion for me.
Today's Peachtree memory teaches us that:
1. We are human! Ephesians 6:12 states that, " For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places." The jealously I felt towards this woman I worked alongside almost daily was not of Christ. It was my flesh in partnership with the Devil looking to divide and create doubt within my mind.... and it worked!
2. Remember my episode 3 mantra? Before becoming super serious about God I always said - "What's for me is for me and it will not pass me." This affirmation is not directly found in the bible but a verse that coincides perfectly with this phrase is Isaiah 54: 17 - " No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their vindication is from Me, says the Lord." All things must bend to God's will - even my job. People don't keep from promotions. God's timing is perfect and he decides.
3. Philippians 4:6 encourages us to go to God in prayer regarding all things. Patience was something I struggled with in this season and candidly until recently. Recently, I learned that patience is not about how long you can wait - because you're going to wait on the Lord regardless- but your heart posture while you wait. Learning to shift my heart posture to soak up every season that God has me in - to fully immerse myself in the lesson he wants to teach me- has given me a true joy that I could not find at this time.
Take a listen of my promotion journey on Peachtree !
This week's bible verse: James 3:16 - " Wherever you find jealousy and fighting, there will be trouble and every other kind of wrong-doing."

This week's bible verse: Leviticus 19:18 (CEB) - You must not take revenge nor hold a grudge against any of your people; instead, you must love your neighbor as yourself..."
Lessons Learned on Peachtree:
1. God will remove anything that does not edify us or ultimately bring him glory. The catch is, sometimes the things or people removed don’t seem like our enemies. We will chase after it, pray over it and no matter what… it won’t click. God removes for your provision and we have to have faith that even if we don’t understand that all things work together for our good when we believe in him.
Supporting bible verse: Romans 8:28; Psalm 23
2. Sometimes, you're the toxic character in someone else's story. Pray in that season for your friendship to be reconnected when God sees fit. Pray for the heart posture to be changed in all parties and accept with gracefulness if the season of friendship has run its course. God can and will remove any hurt we have. We have to just trust him.
3. IT IS OKAY TO WANT FRIENDS. Fellowship and unity have been something I've enjoyed reading in the books of Acts! God desires for us to work together and support each other. As an adult woman, it is okay to say I desire friendships and they are important to my mental health and spirituality.
4. Accept the seasons in your life. I've been praying for new and stronger God led friendships. I was recently given confirmation from God that that's something he wanted for my life as well. What you pray for and believe; you will receive - (Mark 11: 24-25) "Therefore I say to you, whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you will receive it, and it will be so for you. And whenever you stand up to pray, if you have something against anyone, forgive so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your wrongdoings.”

Happy National Parent's Day 2021!
Coming into this season of the podcast, I knew I wanted to speak a little more on my relationship with my parents. You see, over the past 5 years of my "Peachtree Lifestyle" my parental relationship has evolved tremendously. *write me on IG if I should reveal the type of child I was growing up*
I am finally at a comfortable space in my motherhood journey to speak from the wisdom I've gained over the past 9 years as a parent and of course the standpoint of a child needing to forgive her parents.
Take a listen as we...
1. Reveal details of my upbringing as a child of an affair.
2. Chat about the power of forgiveness.... "hey, your parent's are people too!"
3. Offer insightful spiritual concepts on how to honor your parents.
Let's be the generation that changes the parental dynamic in black culture.
This week's bible verse: Exodus 20:12 - Honor your father and your mother so that your life will be long on the fertile land that the Lord your God is giving you. (CEB)

I know this may be unpopular opinion, but.... I have no desire to be independent 🤷🏽♀️.
In today's episode, I speak candidly about how "Independent Autumn" hemmed up 2 years of her life with this "self made" mindset.
This week's bible verse: Philippians 4:11 - I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.

Welcome to my father's day episode that is 2 weeks late. Better late than never, because I am dropping the co-parenting gems in today's episode.
June 2011 in a bathroom in Arbor Place Mall (Douglasville, Ga) I found out Ryan was on his way.
10 years in and I can say whew.... co parenting is going well.
I wanted to encourage any co-parenting/single parents that with God, great things can happen from a place of lost! Cause your girl was lost, disappointed, immature, and hurt bringing life into this world. The joy I have now?! (*praise dances*) Only God can give or take away. Shoutout to all dads on today and everyday ♥️
This week's bible verse: 3 John 1:4 - I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
