Today I’m going to break six myths about pilots and aviation — including:
Are air pockets (turbulence) dangerous?
Do pilots need perfect vision?
Do we, the pilots, actually sleep during the flight?
Why on earth do they turn off the lights before landing?
Can the autopilot land the plane by itself?
And how many doctors are there on every flight?
So fasten your seatbelts we’re taking off!

On June 12, Air India Flight 171 took off from Ahmedabad, India, heading to London, and crashed in less than a minute.
Moments after one of the pilots made the emergency call 'Mayday,' the plane crashed into a residential neighborhood in western India.
Only one passenger survived. Shortly after, the black boxes were found, and the cockpit recordings revealed one haunting question: Who shut down the engines and why?
The initial report, which was supposed to provide answers, only raised more questions.
So what really happened? Was it a technical malfunction, human error, or something else entirely?

Ever wondered why flight attendants insist on upright seats for takeoff and landing? In this episode, I will break down the safety science behind this rule and will share real-life examples like Air France Flight 358. Plus, a behind-the-scenes peek at what pilots are doing during these critical phases. Straighten your seat, we are about to take off!
What happens during a medical emergency mid-flight? In this episode, I explain how airline crews handle in-flight crises, from life-saving tools to real-time consultations with doctors on the ground. She shares real stories, including a choking passenger, a mid-flight birth, and a peanut allergy scare. Tune in for an inside look at how the crew manages emergencies over the ocean!
