The Audacity To Release In Order To Live

*Trigger warning this episode unpacks the topic of abortion.

In the inaugural episode of this podcast Asiah (@issaraeof_ny), & Amber (@Not_therealamberworsley ) unpack the first steps to healing your body and spoiler alert;  it all starts with your mind.  For Black women the joy of motherhood has always been tainted with societal expectations for mothers that root back to the days of slavery. Such as being an all caring mammy or disappearing into motherhood as a martyr. Ambreia Meadows-Fernandez had the audacity to want something different for her and other mothers like her. On her platform Free Black Motherhood she creates space for mothers to explore the realities of motherhood and celebrates the many different ways black women nurture children as well as work to destigmatize and release us from the wounds of motherhood with martyrdom. During this conversation we unpack her journey to releasing shame and experiencing all life has to offer.
