The Art of NGF: Undo Suffering
NGF55: On the Ubiquity of Deception in Our Times

Garrett and Joel discuss and explore the near-absolute ubiquity of deception in the world and in our lives.

Background: Joel is a facebook friend who shared some interests with me, so I reached out for a discussion, with the sense that it would be fun, entertaining, and valuable for him, myself, and possibly you as well.

You be the judge. Comment, share, subscribe, and like.

NGF54: Floki the Croatian Boatbuilder
Tonight on the Art of NGF show, Garrett and Floki--the mysterious Croatian boatbuilder--discuss the prison of tradition most people get trapped in, and steps you can take immediately to break free from it.

From Floki's perspective, the roots of human pain and suffering can be found in their unconscious addiction to repeating things they really don't want to be doing.

You might want to listen to this episode a couple times, and then pause to take some small, potent actions in your own life to step away from traditions that might just be draining you of precious life force and time...for no other reason than familiarity...

NGF53: Piercing the Veil of Nothingness with Mark Unno

Long ago in the Emerald City, a younger version of Garrett Daun completed a Religious Studies and Creative Writing Degree at the University there.

During that time, he attended one of his favorite classes of all time: The Dark Self East and West, with a Japanese Shin Buddhist Priest as the professor. The course was known fondly among students as “The Dark Side” class.

The class and coursework was never easy, but it was always rewarding…as we dredged more deeply into our hidden dark sides and unearthed the numinous treasures there awaiting us.

Meet Professor Mark Unno.

Over the years, Garrett has kept in close contact with Mark, and a year ago, they decided to make a private podcast episode reserved only for Elite paid clients in the Radical Undoing 4 Week Intensive 2.0 course.

This is that interview.

During the call, Garrett and Mark explore the deeper meaning behind the singular practice of one branch of Shin Buddhism: recitation of the name of Amida Buddha.

Find out why the name Namo Amida Butsu, known as the Nembutsu to practitioners, holds so much value and relevance to your own life and impending death.

Get ready for a ride into your Dark Self…

NGF52: Rebuilding the Man with Jesse Lee Peterson

We interviewed a very special guest–Jesse Lee Peterson–a couple years ago, but we decided at that time to keep the interview private for our paid clients.

After much consideration, and the coming relaunch of the Art of NGF show, we’re making it public.

Garrett and Jesse go deep into why men are so weak, why relationships don’t seem to last anymore, and what we can do about it as individuals.

They slay many sacred cows, and provide you, our dear listeners with actions you can start taking today to overcome anger forever, be right and do right in your life, and achieve abiding inner peace–no matter what seems to be happening in the external world.

Enjoy, and try out Jesse’s Silent Prayer right away.

You can find out more about Jesse and his work by visiting BOND.

NGF50: The Return of Killin' It, with Paul Crik

“This is it!”

“Fuck it…”

“It is what it is.”

So proclaimed our esteemed guest for this evening’s entertainments in a video from circa 2011 that I was lucky enough to find on youtube.

I would later use that video, and a handful of others from his “Killin’ It” series, in Radical Undoing workshops and courses to help elaborate on points I wanted the students to grasp.

After awhile, Paul Crik dropped off my radar, and I would occasionally wonder what happened to him?

Where did he go?

Was he still out there somewhere Killin’ It?

As it turns out, he is.

I found him on Instagram: @PaulCrik and noticed a huge array of videos I’d never seen before.

Golden nuggets of joy, quirky humor, and a deep love for reality and existence.

But the last one was posted sometime in 2017…so where did he go?

I ventured to send a private message to him, and this insanely delightful podcast episode was the eventual result.

This is also the illustrious 50th episode of the Art of NGF podcast, and I can say with ease that it was my favorite one of all.

If you’ve never heard of Paul Crik, or if you are a fan and practitioner of Killin’ It, you’re gonna love this one.

And when you do, click on over in itunes and leave us an honest, intelligent review (Ok, an honest one is fine).Enjoy, and remember to have fun.

The inimitable Robert Scheinfeld joins us for an off-the-charts mind-blowing talk about life, the universe, everything, and nothing.

Robert and Garrett go deep into the nature of the self, of reality, and how to experience what Robert calls “Ultimate Happiness” and “Ultimate Freedom.”

It’s definitely NOT what you think, and the only way to discover it for yourself is to buy the ticket and take the ride.

Thankfully, this podcast is still free (for now) and all you have to do to take the ride is sit back, listen, explore, and enjoy.

NGF48: Conduct Becoming a Man with J. Allen Hood

In tonight’s episode, we cover an extremely important, and dangerously overlooked topic: how to become a man.

In a society that has started rejecting the importance of learning what it takes to grow up as an adult male, this refreshing interview reveals how and why young men (and even older men) can and should learn how to conduct themselves as full-grown male specimens.

Find out how my guest, Jeff Allen Hood, was forced by his unique childhood to learn what it takes to be a man, and how he became the guy who literally wrote the book on the conduct every man needs to learn and master to live a fulfilling and deeply authentic life.

NGF47: Battling Through Transitions and Big Changes in Life and Business with Misty Mozejko

Welcome back to tonight’s entertainments on the Art of NGF Victim to Adventurer Podcast!

In this episode, we welcome back Misty Mozejko, who if you recall from her previous foray on the NGF podcast, went from 300+ pounds down to an extremely fit trainer and gym owner.

Since we last talked with Misty, she’s transitioned out of the gym business, and into helping other business owners move through their internal bullsh*t and start making bigger moves and higher profits.

For her to make that transition, Misty had to confront some hard truths and dark depths inside herself and her own life situations.

Join us while Misty gives deep insights into how to flow through your own huge, mysterious transitions and changes in life, and to come out the other end happier, healthier, and more satisfied than ever before!

NGF44: An Evening of High Weirdness with Daisy Eris Campbell and Will Griffin
There’s something weird going on here…
Daisy Eris Campbell can be seen as a woman of many stories.
Actor, writer, director, producer, organiser of festivals, transpersonal psychologist, heirophant and psychopomp, collaborator of the Justified Ancients of Mu Mu, (a.k.a. the KLF), conduit for the ingression of novelty and strange attractor for the cosmiscally enthused.
Join us as we explore the entwined fractal structure of ‘fact’ and ‘fiction’, toy with theatre as ritual, laugh our way through the halls of chapel perilous, and disclose the secrets of transcending your own storyline.
From encounters with the deliberate reincarnation of the Cathars, to the mysteries of mumufication, via a detour through the hazards of gastromancy here is a heady brew of synchronicity and tantric alien sex.
We had great fun talking with Daisy, and we know you’ll have fun listening.

NGF43: Matt Furey on the Power of Movement, Breathing, and Imagination
It’s a great honor to present today’s podcast with Matt Furey.
I first got into Matt’s bodyweight conditioning training when I was doing Jeet Kune Do and Brazilian Jujitsu. We used his “Combat Conditioning” book for all our warmups.
Later, I discovered Matt was also into all kinds of other body movement, breath training, and training your imagination for success.
After many years of using his courses and books, I finally reached out and he was kind enough to come on the Art of NGF to share some of his secrets with us.
Check out The Furey Faithful here: http://fureyfaithful.com
And Matt’s website here: http://mattfurey.com

NGF42:Ozark10: The Toll

Welcome to the (almost) final episode of the Art of NGF Ozark Talks.
In this quintessential episode, we cover many of the loose threads that get tied up, and the new cans of monkeys and barrels of worms that get tipped over, ready to get explored in the upcoming Season 2 (Release Date: August 31 on Netflix!)
If you’ve been following along up to now, you already know how this works:
First, you watch the entire first season of Ozark, then you come on back over here and listen to episode 1. Then you watch episode 1 again, and take in the show in a whole new light, the light of transcendence and transforming your perspective from one of a victim of circumstances to one of an endless adventurer on the ever-expanding frontiers of your own life.
If you’ve made it this far, congratulations. We’ve got a very special episode in store for you.
Enjoy! and be on the lookout for Ozark Talks Episode 11: Back to the Lake, which will be released as a celebration just before Ozark Season Two premiers.

NGF41:Ozark9: Coffee, Black

In tonight’s episode, we see Wendy and Ruth stealing the show and stepping up to help Marty’s plans go from spontaneous ideas into solid form.
We also see Russ and Boyd move on to “a better place,” with Ruth’s cunning and skillful–if reluctant–help.
This means the Byrde family might now have Ruth, Wyatt, and his little bro Three on their hands. Things go deeper with the Snells, and everything feels like it’s about to go bottoms-up.
The true meaning of family starts to shine through all of the characters. Even the betrayed Russ tried to make good on his yearnings to have a better life, and when he couldn’t, he still had his boys and his brother on the top of his mind.
“Coffee, Black” has the power to help you see your own connections in life in a powerful new way.
Who’s your real family? Who can you dispense with to help move your life more in line with what you really want?
Let us know what you’re getting from this Imagination Training exercise, by leaving an honest review in itunes.
See you soon for Episode 10: The Toll, and find out for whom the church bells toll…

NGF40:Ozark8: Kaleidoscope

In this exceptional episode, we dive through the looking glass, or in this case the kaleidoscope, to see through the some of the core elements making up the deep drama and beautiful transcendence of each of the characters in the show.
We get to see how Marty and Wendy, and all the other characters in the series, have ended up in the intense situations of the show–with much less volition and choice than any of them realize.
So what does this have to do with you and your own life?
You might feel some of the sting of regret from making “bad choices” start to ease up. If you can face what episode 8 tries to convey, you’ll earn yourself some deep relief, and maybe even some profound appreciation for every moment of your life, and learn what it truly means to go with the flow in the moments you have remaining.
We don’t choose our destiny, but we do get to participate in how it all unfolds.
Episode 8 gives you the keys, and that sweet relief you might never have known could be yours.

NGF39:Ozark7: Nest Box

Welcome to Episode 7 of The Ozark Talks: A special Imagination Training disguised as conversations about one of the world’s most compelling and beautiful TV shows ever made.
In this talk, we go deep into Nest Box, an episode dedicated to exploring familial bonds–both supportive and destructive–between all of the characters cohabitating in the Lake of the Ozarks.
Ruth’s deep confusion and hatred for her father opens her up to the loving kindness shown constantly by Marty and family, even while she plots to murder him and steal the cartel money he’s got hidden away.
Boyd Langmore makes one of the most moving performances of the entire season, to reach out to his brother Russ.
Charlotte Byrde and Wyatt Langmore toy with getting closer, even as Charlotte still resists her new life in the back woods of Missouri.
What’s all of that got to do with a Nest Box?
And how in the hell does watching Ozark and listening to a podcast possibly train your imagination and beckon you to transcend your own problems, challenges, and complaints?
Listen, follow along, and find out for yourself.
It’s a bridge worth crossing.

Has Marty found his best friend or his worst liability in Ruth, with her criminal past and not-so-secret desire to kill Marty and get away with the cash?
Find out all about Ruth, and how to use this excellent show to train your unconscious mind to transcend circumstances, live with confidence, and maintain a personal code that fills you with integrity, strength, and flexibility.
